Americans have not been at war with Iranians for nearly 50 years. Religious zealots in the US government have hated, feared and wanted to destroy the religious zealots in the Iranian government. And vice versa.
Innocent people die when the religious go to war.

It’s not!! But I think it’s fair to assume most people in politics are morally grey (or black). I only vote for one party over the other because at least they pretend to hold my beliefs.

We have a president who took the nation into a war for reasons he cannot fully articulate, without a strategy for how to respond if Iran did the expected and closed the Strait of Hormuz, and without an exit strategy if Iran doesn’t surrender.

I’ve been out of school 10 years but only had a W9 job for just over half of it. My last workplace (not the newspaper) traumatised me. If I lose this one I worry I won’t find another one. I worry how much longer I will be employable
Now I work at a flag company. It is doing okay. It stresses me out and now I have disruptive stomach issues again. I just don’t know how much longer I can do.
I wish I had been smart enough to read and understand books when I actually had the time to read them

Yeah I try to buy when I can. I love independent bookstores. $30 is just a lot when you’re a student or just out of school (although that’s not the case anymore)
More like I take pictures and then get them at the library and maybe buy one
Also the biggest problem I have with my novel is that I don’t know how to write. That’s why it’s called learning on the job 🤪
I’ve been between 50k-65k on my novel since last July because (1) I stopped working on it from August-December (2) I add words but I also remove them

It’s tough because I’ve read some wonderful books that didn’t have me hooked until page 100. It takes me forever to read the first 100 and then after that I’m hooked and half to finish it
