Last minute pivot to the Taw to spend a perfect afternoon with Pete casting to spring risers and finishing off birthday cake. All the while Monty, even at 70 (in human years), was spring loaded for the action. We ended up with 2 each, Pete landing the daddy of the bunch obvs.#flyfishing
Tough weekend on the Usk and up in the Cambrians with Tony. 3 fish between us and only one on a dry. Still an enjoyable getaway peaking with a pint by the wood burning stove in the Towy Bridge Inn. #flyfishing #wales
Still a lovely day out in the sticks in great company.#flyfishing.
First trip of two planned to Dinas on the Usk. Stiff downstream wind but otherwise nice conditions. Plenty of March browns around lunchtime but not many looking up. @danosmond.bsky.social caught a handful on nymphs. I stuck with a dry and caught nowt.
First trip of the season. Breconshire Fishery on the Usk, just below Brecon. Steady hatch of LDOs & MBs between 1-2pm. One fish each on dries. Headed home at 3:30pm when the temp dropped.
Not long now…
Fenni-Fach?
Great turn out for Pete’s T&S do at Farlows. Plenty of fly fishing royalty lending their support. #flyfishing #troutandsalmonmagazine @farlows.bsky.social

Great day afloat with @danosmond.bsky.social on Wimbleball. Always a pleasure to hang out with Dan and we had plenty of action on a very low lake with some top quality trout to take home to be cold smoked.
Stunner.
Final foray of the season to Ystradfellte with Ben J. Wets won out but hooked and lost one on a daddy.
Last trip to Wales of the season. The 6 months ahead seems to stretch out eternally.
Final trip of the season (probably), into the Welsh desert looking for leopards…
Fantastic day up in Mid Wales. Pete found the fish I’d dropped back in April, sat in the same spot opposite the white triangular rock. Quite a moment to see it inhale Pete’s sedgehog. I got the privilege of netting duties.
