This past week, we launched Helios, a technological marvel redefining the possible. Helios is the most accurate quantum computer in the world, with 98 of the highest fidelity physical qubits ever released, and 48 error-corrected logical qubits.

Thanks to a new protocol that uses adaptive quantum circuits to convert detected errors into hardware resets, our team has opened a new door for near-term hardware performance that eludes the costly overheads of full quantum error correction.
We just achieved near break-even without post-selection using QED, a surprising result that came out of a study of dissipative quantum circuits.

We're focused on de-risking the path to large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computing, and we are doing the work to get there. This work is platform-agnostic — relevant to anyone working on quantum hardware, QEC theory, or benchmarking tools.

Our new protocol is robust, syndrome-aware, and applies to complex noise sources such as space-time correlated noise. We benchmarked our approach using Quantinuum’s System Model H1, with excellent results showing improved logical fidelities.

In a new paper, we develop a protocol to directly characterize the distribution of logical errors arising from QEC measurements.

We're closing gaps others miss with our world-class team and industry-leading hardware. In particular, we’ve been asking: how well do QEC gadgets actually perform on real hardware? Are the assumptions behind scalable, fault-tolerance holding up in practice?
