I just got an email with a special deal from Qantas, offering me a $500 discount on flights to the US.
It's a good deal, but you could not even pay me to visit the US right now. Like so many around the world, I'm disgusted by what's happening there, and don't want to be anywhere near it.

I just signed @australiainstitute.org.au's petition: Tax the gas industry its fair share! Will you join me? nb.australiainstitute.org.au/gas_export_t...
Sadly, just another day in the USA.
Amen.

I got a laugh out of some of those. Thanks!
For nearly a half century, trickle-down economic policies have resulted in a tax system rigged in favor of the rich. This is not only bad for our economy, but it’s leading to a billionaire takeover of our democracy as well. Watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkiO0_uSJAk
It is THE fundamental problem. To survive and prosper we must make billionaires history. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
I like tools that can be used in creative ways they weren't necessarily designed for. The Google Vids Screen Recorder Extension includes some neat virtual backgrounds and characters from Google Meet, so it opens up a bunch of interesting creative possibilities for students.

Release all the Epstein files now!
Ok US you have two weeks to remove the President before the end of the next war crimes deadline. This is not a drill.
Google Vids has become my favourite Workspace tool by far and it just keeps getting better and better. These new features are amazing (and free for all Workspace users!)

Yeah. Scomo.
It's all just one big video game to this motherfucker.
I thought it was all about regime change because of a dictator? Or was it about freeing the oppressed iranians? No, wait, it was removing the nuclear threat wasn't it? Are you now telling me it was about oil this whole time? I'm shocked!
The desktop mode in Android 16 QPR3 on Pixel is really good. Just plug your phone into a screen and it turns into an Android powered desktop computer. I added a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and it's very functional. Definitely a good travel setup if you have access to an external monitor.
So, war with Iran, hey? All I can say is that whatever's in those Epstein files must be REALLY incriminating.
Just spending a relaxing Sunday afternoon watching the start of WW3 on the telly.

I've been relistening to My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, the 1981 collaboration between David Byrne and Brian Eno. What an incredible album. Still stands the test of time. I've also been reading How Music Works by Byrne, and the story behind the album is amazing.

Hey David. We just moved to Canberra 6 months ago (from Sydney) and love it here. There's always something to do. I love the walking and cycling paths. Lots of activities and events.
