Hill BLURB When your peaceful community is suddenly teeming with rogue vampires and you have to work with your ex to get rid of them … As the youngest of three sisters, I’m surprised when our sire, leader of our vampire clan, comes to me first with news of rogues terrorizing the population of our remote Canadian town.

Immediately suspicious of all the New-Agey accounts suddenly telling women to give up hormonal contraception in favor of the rhythm method.

In a time when access to abortion is being threatened, anyone who tells you to rely only on the rhythm method is either an idiot or wants you to get pregnant

Zuckerberg approved Meta’s use of ‘pirated’ books to train AI models, authors claim Sarah Silverman and others file court case claiming CEO approved use of dataset despite warnings

That Guardian article… 🤯

What is even copyright these days? Maybe we should go back to the days of minstrels and lyre players. At least then storytellers had a marginal chance of earning some level of income. I’m disgusted.

How do I mute topics and names on this platform? This Canadian is thinking of two names in particular that I don’t want cluttering my feed

To my US friends, I adore you but keep your politics to yourselves. We’ve got our own problems here

Frankly, if I could be known for two things it would be giving good book recommendations and also reminding authors PLEASE HAVE A NEWSLETTER, EVEN IF YOU ONLY SEND ONE WHEN YOU RELEASE A BOOK. PLEASE. FOR ME.

7,134,200 words & 125 editing rounds. A hug thank you to my clients. This past autumn, someone asked me how much I had published and I said two, but my dear friend piped up and said, “That’s the wrong question. Ask her how much she’s edited.” Well, here’s the answer and I’m grateful for every word.

I love it when my clients make me forget I’m editing and I tear up at the grand gesture. I’m first and foremost a romance reader who can’t believe I get to do this professionally

My Canadian peoples,

You see all the trash Americans are talking about their healthcare system today?

That's what the Conservatives want here in Canada. Healthcare for profit. And it's well under way.

Fight for your healthcare as if your life depends on it. It does.

I miss conflict and stakes in trad pub books.

1 year ago 2 0 0 0

I tend to DNF more trad than indies for many reasons, but primarily the current trends don’t align with my personal reading tastes.

I want dual POV, 1st or 3rd doesn’t matter. Instant DNF is 3rd present - I won’t edit it either because it makes me cringe so I’m the wrong editor for that client

Let's talk agents. Because a good agent is worth their weight in gold, and a bad agent is a wreck on a wreck of a toxic publisher situation.

Buckle up for a thread.

Looks at WiP and I’m not hating it.

As always, Zoe brings the helpful advice! My key takeaway - a career needs to pivot and be agile. Just cuz publishers are waning on a certain genre doesn’t mean an audience isn’t out there.

Is there a way to mute mention of a certain someone on our Apple News feed? I keep hitting 👎🏻 and it’s doing nothing. Asking for a friend that would be me.

Upon The Midnight Queer, by ‘Nathan Burgoine I had been looking forward to this collection since it was first announced months ago, and even begged for an ARC last week (even though I had also pre-ordered it), hoping to read and review it bef…

"This collection brings us all some of that damned, elusive magic—it was the first piece of fiction I was able to lose myself in, after that bleak, bleak day—and stubborn, radiant hope: we are not alone. We can find our people, we always have, we always will."

I’m booking into the latter half of 2025 now. I’m so grateful to my clients who continue to trust me with their words! If you think you’ll need a dev or beta slot with me after May 15, let’s talk!

I’d love to see some paranormal or contemporary romance hit my inbox.
