Scratch was an ever present force in my life growing up and I know the same is true for many of my peers. The creative freedom, learning, and community of Scratch is absolutely beautiful and hopefully this event is able to capture what it means to many of us.

I feel like every developer should self host something. It doesn’t have to be complicated, just spin up a vps with a personal website, url shortener, or anything else. The amount of peers that I have that cannot navigate a Unix terminal is genuinely mind boggling

I really like taking care of the tamagotchi. It’s more fun than I expected
