This response was a real 'Eureka' moment for figuring out why I like the 3-action economy, but also why I'm becoming increasingly detached from TTRPGs:

Right? It's like the big thumbs up meme. People will complain about the system on reddit but it's what the same ten people everytime out of how many thousands on the reddit and thousands more who just don't engage online who are just happily playing their game, blissfully unaware of the discourse.
But it seems the wider RPG scene disagrees. It goes beyond disagreements about action economy and touches on those deeper issues with player autonomy being absolute to the point of diluting that tension and even the barest modicum of pushback, tensions, and challenge.
