Would there be court cases questioning Govt about Deportations, or USAID if a shutdown occured? I wrote Sen Schumer urging him to vote no. But now I am considering that he has a point about a shutdown affecting the courts. Would we be yelling now abt silenced courts during this indefinite shutdown?

That is a good point but what about those US Govt kidnapped guys who are in El Salvador prison. Would anyone be fighting to stop that? Or would anyone be fighting to restore USAID programs? People impacted already dying. I am torn.

He also said the courts would be shut down. There have been significant judgements handed down. What courts would have been shut down indefinitely? And why isn’t this being pointed out?

My question is this. Would a govt shut down stop the courts? If so, then the most recent rulings may not have happened. I want to hold fast, but I am open to the argument that a shutdown could have been a disaster and would have vilified democrats, for months while Trump ran riot unchecked by courts
