#22 - The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
I could've watched this on YouTube Shorts while bored at work and it would've been the same experience. At least the animation looks pretty and the soundtrack is phenomenal.

#21 - Nirvana the Band the Show (web series)
TV Show/Movie Matt is such a saint compared to web series Matt. It's still funny but has a lot of that edgy 2007 internet humor that makes it hard to watch at points.
#20 - The Matrix
I sure hope nothing in this movie gets misconstrued by Americans in 16 years after this movie came out. I think there's really cool action in this movie but I've grown up with Matrix parodies and homages so a lot of my viewing was "So that's where that's from"
#19 - Send Help
Sam Raimi Apology Form: I thought he was washed after Dr. Strange 2.
I had a lot of fun with this one, especially with a lot of Raimi's direction. A lot of cuts reminded me of the Evil Dead trilogy and Spider-Man 1 + 2. Just wish the CG was a little better.
#18 - Hoppers
It's really nice and funny to see a Pixar movie just be completely insane. It's easily the funniest movie in Pixar's entire catalog, but to the point where the tone can get a little muddled later on. But this is still a very fun movie to watch.
#17 - Chainsaw Man (manga/Part 2)
Despite Part 2's fumbled production, the more I thought about the ending, the more I found myself liking it. I wish we had more time but I'm going to miss this series a lot but at least I probably have the rest of the anime to look forward to.
#16 - Project Hail Mary
You're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it on the biggest screen possible. I had a lot of fun with this cause I was just impressed with all of the practical effects, Ryan Gosling's performance, and the sense of scale the movie has.
#15 - Rap World
This movie has the budget of a deli sandwich and it's funnier than like 90% of comedies that have come out. Conner O'Malley's direction and anytime he'd crash out on screen made me laugh all the time.
#14 - Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
I get why people love the Trails series now. It's become my favorite combat in any RPG. Estelle is one of my favorite MCs in a game. Also, it was a comfortable ride during my playthrough. Really excited for the SC remake later this year.
#13 - Enter the Dragon
I owe Bruce Lee everything for creating the foundation for every fighting game. This movie was fun, especially with Lee's choreography for the action sequences and a lot of cool set pieces throughout like the mirror hall at the end.
(I need to catch up on my entries)
#12 - Resident Evil Requiem
Early contender for game of the year. Grace's sections are great to play through, that really make me wanna play 7 and 8 soon. Leon's sections are also just as fun to go through as 4R, although I think 4R had better weapons.
One of these days I'll get back into savage
#11 - Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie
It's peak. It's my favorite new comedy since Hundreds of Beavers. There's like a new joke every shot but it's also incredibly heartfelt. You'll be wondering how they filmed most of it. Go see this, even if you haven't watched the show.
#10 - Do the Right Thing
It's terrifying how nothing has really changed in the past 37 years since this movie released. But wow, what a perfect movie throughout. Especially in its characters and plot, where they feel like somebody you could know irl in your own neighborhood.
#9 - No.1 Sentai Gozyuger
Unfortunately wasted potential especially with all of the production issues and blantant AI use. I like Hoeru a lot but nobody else really gets to shine besides him and maybe Fire Candle. Couple of the other team members just get benched with nothing.
#8 - 100 Meters
A very solid sports anime movie with really great direction. I did have a couple issues. I think it could've done without switching in & out of rotoscoping almost every shot. I also feel like it could've used a few more minutes to flesh out some characters more.
#7 - Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Beginning of a New Era
Legitimately a really great movie. The animation and color palette really stuck out to me. I really liked the cast they focused on, Tachyon and Jungle Pocket especially. S1 of Derby really was the worst 1st impression.
#6 - Kokuho
Very solid drama despite not knowing anything about Kabuki theater. I loved a lot of the performances and direction. It reminded me a lot of Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju, although I think that's the better written story.
#5 - True Stories
I really wish this movie was funnier but I don't think it's for me. It's very vibes-heavy and a lot of the soundtrack is great.
My condolences
Hearing all the stuff about Kiwami 3 and all that goodwill evaporating kind of makes me glad I haven't continued past Yak0 yet.
#4 - High Fidelity
This felt like a watchable version of Annie Hall (I really don't like Annie Hall). I liked a lot of the comedy here more, John Cusack's character's development was nice to see, and I liked the rest of the cast for how real they all felt.
#3 - VA-11 Hall-A
I really enjoyed the chill vibe of this. There's a lot to enjoy from its music, aesthetic, and its characters. Jill especially is a protag that I really like when the game goes into her backstory. Main complaint is some of the writing dating itself by 10 years.
#2 - No Other Choice
I still need to watch Decision to Leave but I had fun with this one. It's pretty funny but also equally dread inducing especially if you've tried job hunting at all in the past 5+ years.

Last day of Magfest
Thank you to @ierdid.bsky.social for taking my commission of my XIV character and Elphelt from Guilty Gear. It came out amazing.
