Will they also be free to ignore dumb orders?

Some conditions, especially diabetes, are constantly monitored - these students are allowed phones in exams, so would certainly need access during lesson time. So reasonable exemptions will be needed…and how will “reasonable” be defined?

A group of primary school children wearing hi vis vests, and accompanied by a couple of parking wardens, standing on the pavement outside a school. There are zigzags painted on the road the denote No Parking because of the pedestrian crossing which is just behind the camera. The children are holding signs.

A car parked on the pavement outside a school, less than 20 metres from where the children were standing yesterday. It is just outside the zigzag zone, but there are double yellow lines and the car is almost entirely on the pavement. The school entrance is just behind.

School drop-off.

Thursday: kids out with the traffic wardens, with nice signs asking parents not to park dangerously.

Friday: parents parking on the pavement outside school.

Idling engines, of which there are many, clearly shows concerns about the price of fuel are completely unfounded. See, also, speed limiters that make it easy to avoid speeding even in a 20 mph zone

So they are at war, as this is piracy if you are not legally at war

WOW: The NHS has ordered staff not to use the phrase 'It's raining cats & dogs' in fear of upsetting people from other cultures and religion.
Britain has gone absolutely

The NHS has ordered staff not to use the term "It's raining cats & dogs" as it may offend foreigners.
Tough
If you don't like it jog on is what I think
The NHS needs to get back to concentrating on making people better & not being more concerned about offending

For the love of God, could the "common sense" brigade PLEASE develop some actual COMMON SENSE?!

No, the NHS has not ordered staff not to use the term "it's raining cats and dogs" for fear of either upsetting or offending anyone...

Please engage your brains for a minute🙏

Japan was hit by two nuclear weapons and multiple mass B29 attacks, so that is quite a threat…

So you’ll be fine if they hit yours…or will you claim that is terrorism?
Also - the school?

So western civilisation responsible for e.g. the transatlantic slave trade, colonialism, the Crusades, Nazism and communism is one of the bad ones, I assume?

It sounds like the problem
Is a common one - that a blazer is required and you can add a jumper but students would prefer jumper to blazer… but they should just enforce that rule not ban jumpers altogether. Which, might have had the same response - I’d still think the sanction was OTT for a blazer!

Annoyingly I was on par

Also totally fails to account for British weather - when I was in (modern) year 3 I watched it snow on June 2nd in Cambridge, which is south of Lutterworth! Normal April, May and September often have cold days and a real possibility of frost in the morning and pre-half term October certainly does…

Absolutely. You could also remind them about the damage done to the footpath - making the pavement more dangerous for everyone

If you are going at 20mph you have more time to react and will do less damage, so I assume you are a strong supporter of “Twenty is Plenty”?

What should have happened: the REIT paid no tax but the Tice companies holding shares in the REIT paid £98k tax on the dividends they received.

What actually happened: none of the companies paid any tax.

Harriet Brooks was one of Canada's first female nuclear physicists.
Sir Ernest Rutherford said she was an equal of Marie Curie.
She co-discovered radon and helped lay the foundations of nuclear science.
Then she left her career when she was 29.
This is her story.
