I've watched the film. This excellent project needs and deserves a sponsor.
We made a film! This is such a brilliant, complex, simple, nature restoration project. Can you help us find a sponsor to turn it from experiment into practice? π²π www.galbraithgroup.com/our-services...
Thank you to the kind folks who took time to review my book Herryea Forest recently - it's much appreciated and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! If you haven't read it yet why not give it a try? you don't need to be/have a child to enjoy an adventure and learn something about forests! amzn.eu/d/48CyrYM
Thank you! I have more of this sort of thing in the archives (some easier reading!) which I hope to get online soon.

How was the construction of the beautiful St John's church funded? What can that story tell us about Edinburgh's role in the Scottish and global economy? Murky dealings and colourful characters in my 2013 paper, available online for the first time. open.substack.com/pub/eleanorm...
Interesting! I'm not sure how informative my work will be - but I'd be happy to chat about it
That's me! And did a postdoc on a whole lot of others :) You'll find lots of words by me on academia.edu

Yep, the wild cherry rootstock popping out of the ornamental cherry graft. I've seen one or two round Edinburgh - there's one on Princes St - but none as fine as this.
I've been hunting for a few years: have I found Edinburgh's greatest chimera cherry? (Hutchinson Crossway) ππ©·π€
What is the origin of the Easter Bunny, the word 'Easter', and Easter eggs?
If you are curious about the scholarly answers, which were to me surprising, I highly recommend episode 5 of the excellent "Data over dogma" - on this link, or on your podcast platform.

Messing about in boats on Sunday in the Clyde. Summer has arrived in Scotland! Thanks to the wonderful C&C Divers team for all the help, training and photos. And we saw dolphins ππ¬ The white rose shaped thing is sea lemon eggs π¦

I found lockdown quite relaxing: it's been getting up every morning for work all the other 13 years that his friendly voice has been essential. Thank you @petroc.bsky.social who had suffered alarm clocks far worse than the rest of us!
We at Galbraith are excited this week to be launching three initial pioneering opportunities for corporate sponsors to restore nature in Scotland. Read more here and please do get in touch if you'd like to know more. www.galbraithgroup.com/insights-new...
Thank you! Now I follow!
Yes this is useful work. I'm looking forward to reading the published research and understanding the numbers more clearly - there was a distinction between "use the tree" v "species that just use the wood which are not included" that I didn't really follow.

An old blog from 9 March 2011, when I looked up at a building and began a journey that led me to write my favourite history paper. eleanormharris.substack.com/p/oddly-goth...

Some lovely music this Sunday - Purcell is my favourite!
Brilliant catching up with @woollymaggot.bsky.social today and his amazing cows in trees. It felt more like a safari than a visit to a forest/farm.
