This one is on me. Someone erroneously flagged it for me and I passed it along.

The system doesn’t ask what district you’re in, much less what state, so there’s no way to use this to convey your feelings about a bill to your legislator. The only way to do that is to call or email your legislator. This tool helps folks find out who represents them: ilga.gov/members/Find...
I would also encourage you to not solely focus on the witness slip game as those slips don’t actually reach people’s legislators. It usually amounts to a single sentence (100 proponents and 200 opponents, for example) in a committee hearing attended by a relatively small number of legislators.
Each election authority is responsible for training their judges. That said, it’s a long and boring job so I think lots of folks take every opportunity for joy like this they can.
You should see a reduction in calls and stuff assuming campaigns are able to update the voter file, but some stuff may already be in the pipeline. The real pro move is to vote on the first day of downtown early voting so you can miss all the mail! Sorry I can’t do anything about the ads though…
ahhh! That’s the one we have, we just assumed you had the same model!
I was looking out the window and trying to decide if it was raining and when I took the dog out realized it was just generically wet. Also, I have that scarf too (and bought one for @rugger4equality.bsky.social when we were most definitely not flirting)!

Kelly is one of the strongest voices for progressive change in Illinois. It means a great deal to earn her endorsement as a friend and a fellow fighter for fairness and meaningful property tax reform that delivers relief to homeowners and seniors. Thanks, @kmcchicago.bsky.social!
Epstein survivors released an incredible ad during the Super Bowl.
We were working from home when the bell rang. I expected to see a delivery driver running back to their truck. Instead it was a @wbez.org reporter from Curious City asking if I’d ever wondered about our street name. Totally nerding out to be in this story with a fave constituent @rogersparkman
Last week, I was honored to visit Belfast to learn first hand what can be accomplished by addressing youth crime through a child first lens. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with colleagues on the Restorative Justice Committee this session! Thank you @youthjusticeagency.bsky.social
Thank you for hosting us. I am excited to continue working together as we work to apply child first policies here!
Walz: "I call on all Americans to see the decency this state is exhibiting, and the horrific cruelty, unprofessional, absolute abomination that is passing for what these f--- ICE agents are doing on our streets."
I am proud to stand alongside legislative allies across the country in support of the people of Minnesota and their resistance to the federal invasion of their state.
Either that or Gerber Hart Library and Archives. This sounds like a job for a queer archivist…
If you're a soldier in the 11th Airborne Division being ordered to prep for deployment to Minnesota or Greenland, remember that you have the right to apply for conscientious objector status.

Abigail Spanberger was told to throw trans youth under the bus during her campaign. She refused to do so.
She won the election by 15 percent. A dominant victory. A landslide.
She was just sworn-in as the 75th Governor of Virginia, the first woman to lead the state.
Bill’s been recovering from a fall so may be taking a cycle off.
Yesterday, these incompetent fucks were just going door-to-door in a neighborhood near my house at 8:30 in the morning. School buses were driving through trying to pick up kids, people were out walking their dogs, and people were taking out their trash cans.
Oh dear. You’re right. I was too hasty!
Ok Springfield people. Shit’s getting serious. Can’t wait for the 4:45pm omnibus ideas to start coming in: www.tickcounter.com/countdown/91...
Nothing jumps to mind, especially with a shipping issue. Might make the most sense to identify a printer there and order remotely.
Today marks 1 year that we've shared this post every day as a gentle reminder. It was originally a throwaway thought, not part of a plan or bit, but it felt right to put focus here and hold it. Thanks for indulging this small act.
Trans people can't be erased.
We can run these campaigns without resorting to fear and smears. Our democracy is strongest when campaigns are fair, honest, and decided by voters — and not intimidation or disinformation.
As a Jewish woman, I’m equally disturbed by reports that suggest electing Daniel Biss or Kat Abughazaleh would somehow endanger Jewish lives. That claim is disgusting, dangerous, and completely false. This kind of rhetoric has no place in our party or in this race.
Now that the ballot is set, it’s up to the voters — not outside groups — to decide who is fit to serve. Threatening and bullying a candidate to withdraw is about as undemocratic as it gets.
As Democrats, we should be encouraging people to run for office, not pushing them out. Our petition parties were open to any democrat trying to get on the ballot, and most of the 9th District candidates collected signatures at my ward events.
As the 49th Ward Democratic Committeewoman, I’m pissed to read that an outside group is trying to bully Bruce Leon to withdraw from the 9th District race. Getting on the ballot is no small feat, and Bruce met every requirement to earn his place.
