The other day one of my students used a sentence "this place is for people who like to eat burgers and truck drivers."

I try not to ́laugh out loud at presentations but I failed, friends.

I feel your pain so deeply. I hate those games and yet sometimes my brain neeeeeeeeds them.

when i come to something new to me / unfamiliar, i sit and quietly and observe, first. i listen. i don't bring anything; i let the unfamiliar do the bringing. i don't try to control or sooth myself by comparing with what i know. i let the unfamiliar lead the away.

but maybe that's just me.
