A family member of mine has a piano once owned by Cooper. A quite impressively ornately decorated thing. Excuse the terrible photo - it’s the only one I have of it right now. This photo was actually a shot of the sofa in front of the piano because the sofa (not the piano!) was going spare 😏
Surely an ideal candidate in today’s endlessly revisionist era (a trend which I don’t love, but even so…) for a ‘remastered’ version? I’d usually say leave things alone but the production is truly feeble. Reluctantly I agree that the recent Replacements ‘Tim’ sonic rejig was kind of great.
I’m using stadiums and headlining fests fairly interchangeably here. Some of the 5pm guys might not be technically playing stadiums but I’d say the Libs, Maccabees, Death Cab etc - all have headlined fests in the last year but despite being successful bands I don’t think my dad could name ‘a hit’.
The elevation of reforming bands from ‘5pm main stage in ‘98’ guys to ‘10pm headliners in 2025’ means we have a lot of bands filling stadiums/arenas now with only ‘5pm guys’ levels of real hits. So because Oasis were ‘10pm guys proper’ in ‘98 - maybe the hit level seems richer today in comparison.
I like that there’s three identical squares to Albert Square close by. Alternate ‘Enders universes.
Guess I should say something. Consider it said.
