I cut this piece off. It normally wraps the hood around the bottom of the chin. But it really restricts the jaw moving. So cut it off and used neoprene glue to put a chin strap in its place. That exposes the chin (beard) and makes it easier to talk and do other things with my mouth.

Made some modifications to my backup hood to open up the jaw. Little more comfortable when doing things with my mouth. 😏 Thoughts?
