To be clear, I am actually (very) cautiously optimistic about Avengers: Doomsday (sorry, I can't escape the Marvel fandom), but I don't like this editing older movies thing - a movie which is already great imo! And I hate most retcons (which it feels like they might be doing here.)

No, I already saw it in theaters and own the Blu-Ray. It's done. You want it to feel like the upcoming story arc was properly planned/foreshadowed? Actually do that!

Ever since George Lucas kept messing with the Original Trilogy, I am strongly against adding stuff to movies post-release.

Could Frontiers use more polish on all platforms? Definitely, but at a certain point, ya gotta work on the NEXT game which will hopefully show the true potential of what Frontiers was striving towards anyways.

Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition might just be a Switch 2 port (since that's the only console it's leaked for so far.) I'm ok with this because:
1. Nice to have a better looking+performing native port rather than back-compat S1 version.
2. Just want Sonic Team to focus on their next big game.

Mood

Ultimately, her opinion (as the true target audience for these kinda movies) matters way more than mine, and I’m just glad we can both enjoy these characters and games together (not that I’m forcing her to!) Also, she says Shadow is way cooler than Sonic.

I asked her which series she thinks is better, the Mario movies or the Sonics (she’s watched all of them MANY times)? She votes Mario and says Galaxy is the best, so there ya have it!

(I think for me, I’d put Sonic movies 2 and 3 ahead of both Mario movies, which are tied and beat Sonic 1.)

She was a bit scared at 2 points in the movie -but they were both quickly resolved. What bothered her most was actually BEFORE the movie started, during the Supergirl trailer when Krypto got shot. She was in tears, and I had to reassure her that Supergirl'll save him. (She better frickin' save him!)

Well, surprise, surprise… The elder (me) and young (my kid) Nintendo fans DID enjoy the Mario Galaxy movie. She wants to watch it again right away (and I wanna replay the games)!
