I think Sicario has surpassed The Wolf of Wall Street as the movie where the fewest people understood who the bad guys were.

Itโ€™s absolutely why so many jumped on โ€œherd immunityโ€ as the solution. They read culling and loved that idea.

A big chunk of people jumped into full-fledged reactionary politics because this was their preferred approach to COVID, and they were denied the opportunity to inflict it upon people poorer than them.

Good. It's time for Democrats to step into the fire-breathing anti-corruption role, clean their own house, and then go absolutely nuts on the Republicans.

I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s true - he wins when he gets to be an unknown quantity. Every election where he is in the White House, we have done well

the "give trump enough rope to hang himself" strategy has mostly just ended up with trump using that rope to strangle his opponents

1 hour ago 4 2 1 0

i get the sentiment behind this, but also feel like this has been the strategy to defeat trump in every election and in every election we are shocked to discover that the more attention trump gets, the more votes he gets, regardless of how negative that attention is

She also was recently lamenting the low birth rates of teens. I'm guessing that's only white teens. And it was ignored by the press.
Absolutely vile person.
Two of the worst people on this planet found their soul mate in each other.

That Katie Miller is now is very publicly and very visibly pushing the findings of Richard Lynn should be incredibly disturbing to anyone not seeking a whites-only future.

I don't know any other way to put it: this is really, really, *really* bad. /end rant

Sheโ€™s reportedly smarter than the men sheโ€™s worked for, and at the very least managed to earn a masters from GW.

Miller is also wife of Stephen, mouthpiece of Elon, previous comms director for RFK, Jr andPress Secretary to JD Vance, and one of the most visible voices of the monied right. /8

That's... a lot.

And here's the thing: Katie Miller is not some fringe crank nobody who shouts at invisible demons on some street corner. Sheโ€™s also not some dippy know-nothing a la Brian Kilmeade. 7

Lynn was also a prominent voice of the Pioneer Fund. Among other things, the Pioneer Fund promoted the film Erbkrank, - a 1937 literal-Nazi propaganda film promoting the the Hitlerโ€™s T-F Euthanasia program - and funded its distribution to any church groups and public schools willing to screen it. /6

... itโ€™s important to know that Lynnโ€™s theories and findings are one of the main sources cited by Murray and Herrnstein.

(Also and fwiw, Lynn also had himself some theories about *females* and IQs, which are pretty much exactly what youโ€™re guessing theyโ€™d be.) /5

Because of this, Lynn was a vocal proponent of whiteโ€™s-only ethane states, but also eugenics for non-whites/Asians. And as a quick aside, those who still feel a need to defend The Bell Curve... /4

The second is the Fertility Theory, which postulates that white people having fewer children than black and brown-skinned people will soon lead to the end of Western civilization and then eventually, a devolution of the human species. /3

He is primarily known amongst white nationalists/supremacists as the developer and champion of two theories.

The first, Cold Winters Theory, postulates that people who lived in colder climates needed higher IQs and a greater work ethic to survive that those who lived in lazier, warmer climates. /3

For people in my world, seeing someone out in the wild using Richard Lynnโ€™s is a huge red flag.

Lynn was an extremely fringe and thoroughly discredited psychologist from the UK who spent most of his career publishing scientifically shoddy works about race and IQ. /2

Most of you have probably seen @atrupar.comโ€™s tweet of Benny Johnson saying Somalians have IQs of 70.

Whatโ€™s more interesting (and troubling) to me however, is this reply by Stephen Millerโ€™s wife Katie about Richard Lynn. Because *that* s**t deserves a deeper dive.

So let's do that. /1

"dominant predator"

WELL NOW, would you look at that?

A massive, 26-YEAR-LONG study of MORE THAN 2.4 MILLION people in Sweden found NO EVIDENCE to support a causal link between acetaminophen (the API in Tylenol) use during pregnancy and increased risk of autism, ADHD, OR intellectual disability in children.
