Trans people have always been here. Today is about honoring that truth and standing in joyful solidarity. (3/3)
In the past year, the Trump regime has directly persecuted transgender people across multiple areas of life, including legal recognition, healthcare access, education, sports, military service, & ID documents. In this climate, celebrating trans lives is a powerful act of resistance. (2/3)

Some participants in this rally plus others in the neighborhood plan to march to the Federal Building, 200 E. Liberty in downtown Ann Arbor to join the Ann Arbor Indivisible rally and march, which runs from 2:30-5pm. A red sunlike circle says that the second rally will feature Yousef Rabhi as a speaker. A group of six smiling women stand behind a table filled with snacks, including vegetables with dip, crackers, grapes, chips, and salsa, in a bright indoor setting with large windows. Two of the women wear shirts with political messages—one reads "INDIVISIBLE" and another "RESIST." On the table’s right side is a large papier-mâché head wearing an orange hat with shinny blue tassels . A poster on the wall beside them promotes an event with the phrases “NO KINGS! NO ICE!” and “ANN ARBOR INDIVISIBLE.”

The entire Democratic strategy debate — "moderate" or move left? fight or compromise? — is based on a misreading of data. Voters don't think Dems are too progressive; they think Dems are weak. The actual math on what to do about this isn't even close!

Alt text: Celebrate Black History Month! A painting in saturated oils of a young Black man riding a horse and wielding a cavalry sabre. He's wearing jeans, sneakers, and a sleeveless white T-shirt that shows off his muscles. The painting is decorated with swirling gold floral designs and echoes a famous portrait of Napoleon by Jacques-Louis David. The caption reads "Kehinde Wiley, Officer of the Hussars, 2007, DIA."
Join Ann Arbor Indivisible in celebrating the magnificent art of Kehinde Wiley, who invokes the works of the Old Masters to highlight the power and beauty of the African-American experience. This painting is part of the collection at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
A black-and-white photo of four young Black men, the Greensboro Four (Ezell Blair Jr. [Jibreel Khazan], Franklin McCain, Joseph McNeil, and David Richmond), sitting at a lunch counter. Text reads: On February 1st, 1960, four Black college students sat down at the Woolworths lunch counter in Greensboro, NC where they were refused service. News of their action spread, and by February 4th, 63 out of 6 seats were occupied by African Americans, mostly students. The student sit-in movement had begun. From lunch counters to campus walkouts, student voices have shaped the fight for justice. Happy Black History Month.
