Desperately trying to access a specific issue of a French journal for a sharp deadline, but it's not easily found online, not even through my university library account. I'm a bit stumped, tbh. May have to skip it given the deadline. But. But. I want. :(

This one goes out to Dave Chappelle--
You try to edit a review while Styx's "Babe" is stuck in your head, I dare you.
I‘m partly worried because of how quickly they accepted our offer, which was below asking price. the seller is also supposedly eager to sell since she’s moved back to the Caribbean. So now I’m worried she‘ll realize she could def get a better offer.
(Our offer was accepted and we‘re now doing our du diligence, including an inspection of the apartment and an in-person request to see the co-op’s minutes, both tomorrow. The seller could still go with someone else though and we still haven’t gotten a deal sheet.)
One thing I’m hoping will happen if Jene and I manage to get this new apartment: mortgage payments might finally force me to be better about submitting and chasing after freelance invoices. I suck at that and it’s entirely my fault!
Asked Jene what movie we should watch on Monday night. That new Maori horror movie MARAMA? “Okay!” Sometimes it’s just that easy, folks.

LEE IACOCCA’S THE MUMMY. (ok fine I’m sitting down now for that other movie jeez)
I’m not making any claims either, I just don’t think much of what I heard. 😎
I don't really know what we're talking about atm, but
Gonna shoot your dishwasher out back behind the shed, got it.
Ah shit, now I wish Raul Ruiz could have seen EXIT 8.
I like that Rod Stewart seems to be trapped on some kind of Escher-style staircase in the music video for “The First Cut is the Deepest.” Just struggling to get up those stairs, refusing to be beaten, then hallucinating a Raul Ruiz death dream as his brain slowly dies.

Watching LE MAGNIFIQUE (1973), which I did not expect to be quite so…Walter Mitty esque…
Thanks! Angry Minnow Vintage has a few more Krofft-inspired designs, including HR Puffnstuf, Enik from LotL, and Chaka, too.

Never felt more wounded than when some Gen Z law student made some insinuating comments about my Sleestak hat being "very hip" and then asking me if it was an NFT. Bro.
I also have a Sleestak belt buckle somewhere... (thanks @lcosgrove.bsky.social)
Hats off for Sid Krofft!

If you're looking for advice, mom, I would let him go out and kill tonight.
The part of "Mommy, Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight?" (on COLLECTION I) where Danzig pauses before he winds the band up with the title prompt. It's a great singer as "character" moment. You can hear his cro-magnon forehead crinkling and the gears grinding when he asks wonderingly: "Mommy??"
Yes, though that was a bad joke. Sorry!
SUNN O))) ruled. Still think Town Hall is a weird choice for venue, and /really/ not a fan of the seats (even I needed more leg room). But yeah, ruled.
Nobody knows who just opened for SUNN O))). No opener listed online. Noisy silver haired beardo with a lot of peddles and a guitar. Nice to see Phil Tippett out there doing his thing.
I think I have a full set of the first 7 or 8 on VHS. Somehow it hasn’t made me cooler… :/
