I’d like to use my freedom of speech to call for the destruction of the Office for Students that basically does nothing beneficial for universities, students, education, or society.

As a PhD researcher, as someone who actually cares a lot about my research and academic freedom, I find this all so deeply, deeply tedious.

The actual threats to academic freedom are coming from defunding our universities – as anyone actually in the sector can tell you.

❌ Not Free Speech: Exercising one's right to peaceful protest against those advocating your exclusion from society – on the campus you have to live and work in

I have told a few MPs this. I genuinely feel a lot of adults hate the existence and needs of young people. Then they act surprised/bewildered that these kids are anxious/depressed.

Kids can't hang out in parks. They can't hang out at the mall. They don't have 3rd spaces because no one wants kids around and then we are surprised when they rely on SM for connection.
