Huh, I'm fascinated to know what got me put on that list.

Especially since it mostly seems to add accounts that haven't posted in months.

What search terms are they going through here.

The German Election

The General Election in Germany is likely to be the most fiercely contests of any since the war. Chancellor Hitler has proclaimed a Four Year Plan to banish unemployment and make Germany great once again but others have made promises of this kind before and failed to deliver the goods.

The vast majority of Americans voters understand Barack Obama to be “liberal” and Bernie Sanders to be “very liberal,” this attempt to import a meaningful left-liberal distinction into American politics is an annoying affectation by people for whom politics exists entirely on their phones

Anti-LGBTQ orgs have explicitly stated they USE sports as a "gateway drug" to undermine trans people's rights. They've also said this is how they eventually roll back all progress on LGBTQ rights. Newsom falls for it hook, line, and sinker.

I found it kind of curious that trans people weren't labelled on this chart despite being the second-most discriminated group according to both cohorts surveyed (63% and 92% for R+leaners and D+leaners respectively), so I labelled all the data as well as made the axes equal.

There are too many AFAB people in this discussion loudly proclaiming that trans women _can't_ get periods.

There are also a bunch of trans women claiming that even if we do get something like a period we shouldn't call it that because it… might upset someone?

wtf.

The stairs of the supreme court courthouse light up in trans flag colors. The words "NOT PEOPLE" under it in all caps, backed by Devin (Legal Eagle) with a grimace on his face.

I cannot describe to those of you who are cis what it feels like to log in to youtube and see this as the first recommended video.

I cannot even begin to approach an explanation of what it feels like.

I've been using non-alcoholic wine and liquor at LARPs recently and it has been _great_. Most of the advantages with none of the drawbacks of actually having wine and liquor.

(1852) Frederick Douglass, "What, To The Slave, Is The Fourth Of July" Explore the speech "What, To The Slave, Is The Fourth Of July" delivered by Frederick Douglass in 1852, including full text and historical context.

Every 4th of July, I take the time to read "What, to the Slave, is the Fourth of July." Let us begin:

"I say it with a sad sense of the disparity between us. I am not included within the pale of this glorious anniversary! Your high independence only reveals the immeasurable distance between us."

I have now learned more in the last 3 months about the behavior and lives of 12th and 13th century catholic nuns than I ever thought I would want to learn.

Welcome to LARPing, I guess. Come for the hitting people with plumbing supplies, stay for the copious amounts of research and emotional trauma

Social media was supposed to be a magical Power-to-the-People technology. Instead, its effects on politics have largely been two-fold:

1) Causing grassroots movements to render themselves impotent with Discourse-driven infighting.

2) Absolutely nuking the brains of power-elites.

Using testosterone for the reverse practice with (short) boys is still done today.

Nb, it used (as in within my lifetime) to be not especially unusual to use high dose estrogen to stunt the growth of girls who would be “too tall.”

Often without her consent.

Weird how he's complaining about this one and not Columbus Day or Thanksgiving or some such. Absolutely bizarre.

Also. Union members. It would be good to be doing some education as to your membership about this administration right now so that we don't have a repeat of the 2024 Teamsters.

Yes, being denied puberty blockers and seeing kids be denied puberty blockers hits trans women differently than trans men

There are myriad reasons this is true, and no this isn't saying that it doesn't suck or isn't destructive for all of us. This isn't a better/worse

Just acknowledge differences

Scared trans kids can see adults be scared online. Especially adults who are like them. It's fine.

Don't silence people grieving with "think of the children who might see your post!"

There's a nuanced conversation I can have about talking about it with kids in your life. This is a public forum.

"We do not have to accept the [death] sentence!"

That's not how sentences work.

Like sure, rage against the machine and all of that, but people are going to die and others are going to live lives much poorer off because of this.

That also needs to be acknowledged in all of this.

"But won't you think of the children" to people who are grieving, scared, and in pain is not it.

Okay if you use “femcel” unironically I’m blocking outright, and if you use it ironically you are on thin ice.

Androphilia and masculinity are absolutely elevated in the vast majority of queer spaces. If you think otherwise, you need to touch grass. Lesbians are a minority in the queer community and even their spaces are constantly under pressure to be as inclusive to queer and non-queer masculinities as
