Sorry, it's clearly not possible to intelligently discuss concepts with you.
It is exactly how data works and you have provided no rational counterargument.
Maybe it's not how you want data to work, but it does.
You simply can't control data or people you dont host yourself.
Or, you are totally misunderstanding my comments as criticism. What I described is physical, not theoretical or moral or strategic. It's what happens in the flow of things, that's all. You must accept these dynamics to have any chance of applying them well in designs.
Further, it is totally possible to declare yourself the authority of your data, and dictate the official source for your data. You simply can't enforce what other people do with the data you share with them, because, again, sharing data requires making a copy of it.
OWNING your data means taking responsibility for it, like having backups, and using systems that give you can the amount of control you want.
SHARING data means allowing people to make copies of it. When they make a copy that is THEIR data, not yours.

Everyone, except you, is tracking everything you do on the web, trying to infer everything about you.
Shouldn't you be tracking too?
Shouldn't you know as much as the people marketing to you, as the governments propagandizing you?
Why don't you?
PKDNS provides the most decentralized identity and discovery system on the planet.
Key-based domain names that tell everyone where to find your data.
Use it.
If you watch this you will find that some people think I said some interesting things and think I wear interesting clothing

Where's a good place to find great rust devs, great web devs, or great mobile devs?
fwiw i work on tech that provides an open semantic social graph of public keys and URLs, so there will also be tools for decentralizing how indexes are created, and it is similarly complimentary to ai decentralization
You'll actually be able to do this in Pubky. For better or worse!
It's the same as Google making Chrome, no? There was a while where Google search dominance was scary, but now it is becoming irrelevant. Where we only had Google we now also have several AI's. Everything is gonna be alright.
The weakness in your argument is that Bluesky is actually working and a lot of people are using it, no?
It is the best example of a new social media bootstrapping to millions of users in a long time, no?
Let's see a bet (bounty?) on Polymarket that someone will post the EPSTEIN FILES onto Bitcoin.
Bonus points if they use the new OP_RETURN policy for a really big file, thus frustrating literally everybody except good progress-minded people!

Quality of nostr users is pretty low because it's all of the Bitcoin-influencer cults and losers that got banned from Twitter multiple times.
There is no such thing as an independent organization.
