Listen if we’re gonna call the PRA unconstitutional at least make it the bad one

Loved the heck out of that Great Grandpa record this year too

If you look at the “creation date”
In Whois, the timestamp is very close to goldcard;gov.
That it shows up in this data now means NS records were added to the domain yesterday github.com/cisagov/dotg...
I play this game except with fictional .gov domains! Here’s Zootopia with zpd.gov

I spent three hours making this list and I have no regrets
Here’s a thought for Rep. Stefanik—the U.S. would do well to first hire and retain (and rehire) all the technologists who already want to serve their country before thinking about a new service academy. Many such pathways to serve already existed and were entirely destroyed by DOGE.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?
We don't have a definitive count of how many federal agencies exist.
I hope their phone got the worst of it.
Take it easy.
This was really lovely, Chris.
Several members of my team moved to support Direct File and we cheered y’all on from a neighboring domain! Thanks for pushing, moving the rock.
I believe these are @krusynth.bsky.social originals 😊
On the one hand this is all very funny but on the other hand I wish it had happened before the government was dismantled and all my friends got fired.

New from Jen Easterly and me: as threats to our critical infrastructure increase, U.S. policymakers need to defend + strengthen the role of security research. This is personal for me, having received legal threats for good-faith security research.

Screenshot of beta.weather.gov with an announcement info box saying "beta.weather.gov has been deactivated until further notice." The message continues by mentioning "This page has been deactivated...due to the loss of critical federal staff, which leaves the project without the resources required to continue its development or for routine monitoring and maintenance."
This is what happens when 18F goes away: beta.weather.gov has been deactivated, “due to the loss of critical federal staff, which leaves this project without the resources to continue its development or for routine monitoring and maintenance.”

Do you know how lucky you are? Catching a @peeldreammagazine.bsky.social and Friko show hits it home: life is rough, but be kind anyway and savor good things.
The administration got rid of 18F under the cover of night. People who own skyscrapers are afraid of 100 people who make websites.
Not because of the latest tech fad, but because we proved the government can be fixed, the government can be made better and the government can work for the people.
I was once told that cars have brakes not so they can slow down, but so they can go fast.
Over the last decade, it was consistently 18F and their TTS peers that did “braking” work which, if followed, made everything go faster. My work has been better, and the public’s the beneficiary.
Agencies may still do that work! But in the end it will cost more, be done less well, or take longer; pick at least two.

I’m heartsick thinking about the destruction of 18F. The lights of my own public service turned on when I learned about them in 2014. I’ve worked among them and learned from them, and the American public lost orders of magnitude more than whatever small amount won’t be expended on work left undone.
I’m so heartbroken for you and everyone and all of us. Let the credits roll, friend, and see all the good work you’ve done.
📣 PSA: I made a playlist that reflects how I feel about this moment in my decade+ of governmenting. It’s called “Public Service Accompaniment” 🎵
Devotion, resignation, resolve, disappointment, motivation, loss, hope, and the wild swings between these feelings. It has a happy ending! We deserve one
Far be it from me to assess the entire federal workforce’s performance, but what I can say with no doubt is they are subject to the most oversight and accountability of any workforce in the country.
