Yeah, it was much better. I'm glad they did the right thing with Oba. I've been saying for almost 2 years that he could be the next Roman level superstar for them. He has the size, look, and is good on the mic.

It was the wild west before lockout codes and stuff.
I had a 3.5 inch floppy of Doom in my backpack at all times in middle school and literally loaded it on every school PC I sat in front of, ha.
I ruined a few kids grades because they only wanted to play Doom and didn't care about classes. Oops 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a kid at Ft Lewis Washington, me and a friend would walk the mile or so to a software rental store right off base in Tacoma. Of course we made copies. Its how I played a ton of games.
When we moved to ft Bragg NC, there was a similar rental shop just off base in Fayetteville. I had everything lol

Happy 20th Anniversary Okami!

Awhile back I made this piece for the huge Okami fan in my life and it's still one of my favorite pieces

Fair enough. I only pre-ordered because I can easily cancel if need be.
They've said all the right things, but i won't be satisfied until physical units and games are available for testing.
Even SEGA wised up and stopped working with ATgames, so anything is possible.

The hour and 25 minutes is bell to bell, so not including the long entrances. The rest was ads.

4 hour show with only 1 hour 25 minutes of wrestling. There were literally more advertisements.
Tonight is definitely the better card though. Still sucks Asuka, Iyo, and Kairi dont get their Wrestlemania match.

I pre-ordered the NeoGeo AES+ anniversary edition. I kinda prefer the OG black, but the wireless stick and 'Metal Slug', kinda sold me.
I also pre-ordered Neo Turf Masters and Pulstar.
Still kinda wild this is happening.

It would be great if SquareEnix didn't suck and did the same type of re-release with Einhander.

I can't wait for the new Mobapad M12 joycon to ship so I can actually play Virtua Figther and Shmups in portable.

VGP came through as usual. I missed the original pre-order R-Type Delta and was going to import from the UK Clear River store, but shipping is like $25, so i waited for VGP.

I don't know the logistics of how far in advance carts would need to be ordered from Nintendo? Adventures of Elliot is a June release. It may be just poor timing to make that decision considering how new these smaller carts are.
I still believe 6 months from now real carts will be much more common.

Sure, though a lot of those would barely use 10% of the 64 gig cards. Publishers probably assumed the extra cost wasn't justified.
With 8, 16, and 32 gig cards now at least the math works better for future releases. Shitty publishers are still going to be shitty, but less excuses going forward.

Every other day I see new games announced on real cartridges. Mio, for example, is $30 because of the new smaller cartridges. Publishers have noticed the sales bump random games are getting just because they're legit and not key cards.
Key cards aren't going anywhere for the large AAA stuff though.

I never fully committed because Im not into social media. I got a X account in 2020 to follow guys like Wario64 in hopes of getting a ps5. I think i follow like 15 people?
The only reason I still keep it is because Treasure follows me, lol. That's literally it.
Bluesky sucks and I didnt want more.

This.
The AES Metal Slug, if you can even find a complete listing, is also around $20k.
I dont have anything that valuable in my collection, but I do have some expensive stuff. I have no problem when stuff I have gets reprinted.
My game collection is for me, not my accountant.

Plaion is re-releasing the NeoGeo AES. Its 1 to 1--old games and controllers work here and visa versa. There's a standard black one with wired arcade stick and no game for $250.
10 games at launch (the real cartridges with cases and manuals) for $90 each. Rad! #blutoid

It's setup just like Burnout Paradise, but it's not a dense downtown city. It's a larger map that is more outskirts, but functionally the same gameplay.
The damage models aren't quite as good, but they're damn close now. Some more updates and this is a gem.
Seriously, EASY recommendation at $15-20!

What a pleasant surprise. Wario64 posted this Monday for $15 and I took a chance. Glad I did.
This is straight up Burnout in every way: licenses, announcer, controls, events, etc. btw, Three Fields is OG Criterion devs that created it.
It's not perfect, but it's close after like 12 updates #blutoid

Like Crimson Desert, i'm going to wait for multiple patches to hopefully get it where it should be. I've read that there's a game braking bug on PC, and some other minor issues.
I think it will get there and be pretty great.
Also, it's not available on PS5 or Switch, if I'm not mistaken? Just Xbox.

For reference, I blast through Ketsui in 25 minutes. It's tight and well balanced for a short experience that you've got to "lock in" for the 1cc.
If it was an hour, it would be a totally different, painful, experience, lol.
For comparison, Ikaruga imo is a bit too long, and it's about 45 minutes.

It looks good and the soundtrack tries to be epic, so thats okay.
It plays like an overly modern Xevious or Rayforce. Meaning there's a shot for air targets, and one for ground targets.
You get 1 life, and restart when you die.
I dont mind hard games, but arcade mode has gotta be like 2 hours!? 😭

I fell for the fomo and bought the reprint of Cygni.
I have very mixed feelings. It's not bad, but sheesh, the first stage is 16 minutes long!? And harder than the second or third. That's all I've played so far because the stages go on and on. Also, modern game so of course, Skilltree 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, the Driver game was punching way above its weight.
There are a few doing full polygonal that are actually pretty good. There's a rally game I remember liking?
I got this just because its Tokyo Xtreme... and it was $9, lol.

Some great stuff. Is Strange Journey hated?
I liked it enough to get the 3DS version after playing the DS original.
Also, yes people should play the Last Guardian.
The PS4 physical is dirt cheap and unpatched. On PS5 you can get 60fps (unlocked framerate) if you dont allow it to update.

I didn't know this existed until a few weeks ago, but I had to have it. Luckily it's dirt cheap, ha.
Is it good? No. Is it the worst? Also no.
It's playable. It's not fun, but it is playable--controls are super stiff.
They tried and it's all 3D, which is rare on GBA.
