the first one was paraphrased from a story my zoology prof told, and the second one was from a slight tangent my theatre history/culture prof went on that stuck with me.

it's a tie between 'admit when you don't know something, bc it'll come back to bite you if you don't' and 'accept fluidity in the characteristics that make up your self identity (ie, don't tie your national identity to your self-identity)'

I think daily, I have...8 or 9? without counting monthly injections and PRNs. they make a difference, but they certainly don't *fix* everything like many people expect meds to do.
