The Snow Moon rises over Boon Island Light. It’ll appear to be smaller to the human eye as it’s just a bit further away from Earth than it usually is. This comparison shows the extreme amount of atmospheric distortion I was dealing with while photographing it from 10 miles away on the Maine coast.

In addition to being a cityscape/landscape photographer I also like to dabble in wildlife. Winter's a buzzkill for my inspiration, but shooting wildlife helps. First time spotting a short-eared owl. Mid-flight shots weren’t perfect, but nailed it when it perched on backlit trees. Hope you like it!
