the strait of hormuz is in a quantum superposition of open and closed that only collapses when you try to take a tanker through yourself and see if you get shot at

I’m so sorry.
BREAKING: DOJ investigating Iran for Mortgage Fraud.
this is something which, plainly, AI cannot do. journalism is by definition out-of-distribution, and even if you presumed that everyone wanted to read more Claudeprose than people already do, "writing up one's findings" is not the primary job a journalist performs!
concept of a ceasefire
Fox News: "Breaking right now -- Iranian state media says Iran is closing the Strait of Hormuz"
there's a cybertruck parked in front of my office where I can see it from my desk and i'm like, get that shit out of here before people think we allow cybertruck owners here
I told someone that I wasn’t looking to buy a smart stove or washer.
They replied, “But it’s okay if people need accessibility technology!”
I just stopped talking and walked off. I already do the internet online. I cannot also do the internet in person.

The Artemis astronauts. Something that’s happening now that in no way whatever sucks. A blessing.
i don't think this is the end of things, but if it is and we walk away from this with explicit Iranian authority over the Strait and a bunch of lifted sanctions it will easily be the biggest American strategic failure in our lifetimes
So after tonight’s big breakthrough we are $30-60 billion poorer from a month of war, all the same nuclear material is in Iran’s hands, and now you have to coordinate with their military to transit the Strait (not necessary a month ago). An enormous blunder, in no way a “deal.”
$2 million per ship — to cross a Strait that was free six weeks ago.

again very funny to think that a critical pro trump message in 2024 was that he wouldn’t start world war iii

Call me ill-informed, I was an English major, but -- what is the light source here?
It was either this or watching short videos acting out how not to harass people at work.
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
russiagate is a theory like gravity
These guys are all paid by the Russians, we have proof they're all paid by the Russians, but pointing out the malign influence Russia has been exerting on American politics gets you called a hysterical Russophobe
Someone on Twitter tweets: "I noticed Gen Z people don't carry umbrellas. They just walk in the rain lol"
you don't need an umbrella when all your clothes are made from plastic
Mamdani is not just filling the potholes with the crew. He's creating a visual and personal reminder of the dignity inherent in all of these anonymous government jobs.
God, I am so proud of all of these nerds. I missed this feeling. I'm voting for this feeling. I'm *always* voting for this feeling.
Sucks to be on a spaceship and have to talk to the stupid president. It's not like you can hide out in the other room
literally further away from earth than any human being ever and still can’t get away from him, brutal stuff
I want to give just the biggest kudos to Kelsey Young, the Artemis II science officer. She did a phenomenal job today of communicating clearly and joyously and it was honestly orders of magnitude more distracting than I thought it would be to have on.
You could have had free universal healthcare this entire time. The money was always there.
(rejecting a call as a crew member of artemis ii) i'm PSSSHHH going PSSHHHH through a tunPPSHHHnel
I won’t lie, I had a different image in my head of Aaron’s setup….
On the theme of kids of astronauts, this is Maya Glover, the daughter of NASA astronaut Victor Glover and Dionna Glover. Maya is at Cal Poly doing architecture.
