Cats are hard to predict but if they have seperate rooms to sleep/run away to it will probably work out ok. Most success I've seen is getting a <1 year old kitten so the older cat doesn't feel threatened

I think brown is when it lacks oxygen, so the side thats in contact with the fridge shelf or some other surface. It's smart to be cautious but it feels sooo bad having to throw meat away 😭

Did the steak turn grey? sometimes this happens to meat when it comes into contact with oxygen. If it still smelled good it was most likely still fine to eat!
