Another intermittent GLP1 update. I’m re-starting because the food noise and cravings came back big style 😩

Going with a different supplier which includes an app, clinical support and coaching in the price. Hoping the different drug and lower dose will keep the fatigue and depression at bay 🤞🏻

I should add that the 32lb loss is important despite the side effects. I’d got to the point of believing I was never going to be able to lose weight again.
So, I don’t regret using the GLP1 injections.

Everything we can do makes a difference even if it’s small. It all adds up.
On Friday I’m signing up to a local scheme called Up & Active, subsidised by Government, to focus on strength and functional movement.
Plus using the Zoe program/app to focus on eating to match my biology & gut biome.

Long time, no post.

Update re: GLP1 injections. I've stopped them, despite losing 32lbs.

I coped with the nausea on the first two days each week but I had increasingly severe depression where I was doing very little each day.

I feel shockingly better now. It was like being massively sedated.

I'm not even American and this breaks my heart. Attachment maybe due to watching The West Wing.

The real challenge for tech bros is striking the fine balance between completely destroying humanity and retaining enough of it that their billions are still worth something.

England is now experiencing a significant Covid wave, after 10 months of relative quiet The latest Covid situation in England and a look at where NHS services are as we head into winter

After a long pause, I've just done another England Covid & NHS update as we head into the autumn/winter season.

TLDR: we're in a significant Covid wave now, the NHS is stretched, get boosted if you're eligible.

There is no need for the insurrection act if they can simply label you a terrorist.

If you are a federal worker, there are several credit unions and other financial institutions that are offering zero interest loans during the government shutdown.

Fun trick: Every time Trump says ‘Antifa,’ swap in ‘MAGA’—suddenly, what he's saying becomes true.

Trump is a con artist & he’s representing a legion of oligarchs & criminals. They’ll maintain power long after he’s gone. It’s a sleight of hand strategy; Trump rambles or passes some EO that is going to be shut down by the courts. In the background massive embezzlement & fleecing is taking place.

Wow, outside!
I have one in the greenhouse (on the side of the Pennines in East Lancashire) as I've not been brave enough to put it outside. The grapes were lovely and sweet this year.

That gap.

32% see immigration as one of the most important issues facing Britain — more than any other issue.

Just 4% see it as something that's important in their own life — one of the lowest shares, and a fraction of the numbers for inflation or the NHS.

I also recognise those in our societies who never really had the chance to settle into comfort, who have always had to keep on fighting.4/

I grieve how many humans suffer such pain during these times. I think with horror and sorrow of the people who die just before big changes, so close but not close enough. People who have no choice, caught up through no fault of their own. 3/

How we then don’t realise that the shifts need to be defended, they’re not guaranteed and that there are others desperate to shift humanity back to patterns that serve only them. 2/

I keep thinking about how we may well be going through a changing time, how dreadful things seem to have to happen before humanity can shift into the next track.
Of how the pain of each shift is slowly forgotten by the subsequent generations, who settle into the comforts of that new track. 1/

I was wondering this on Monday as I drove through each flag festooned town in our east Lancashire valley.
It’s not a wealthy area.
