come out and live in a religious community in a beautiful place out in the country

i don't know why but listening to old @synapticmisfire.bsky.social music just feels good sometimes
in september when i put twinkle on soundcloud, i also said "i don't know what to do with this" and the answer is this new album.
"if life owes us anything, it is beautiful art from miserable experiences" is the exact phrase i spoke, and immediately realized it was the album title.
enjoy my latest!
ive been listening to old @synapticmisfire.bsky.social and i don't know if you know it but it's really good.
Another shorter episode of Featured Tracks this week, but @objectivereality.bsky.social still had time for Kiwi tunes from TiGER, Emerson, and Sophia Brown as well as new music from Austin electronic act @synapticmisfire.bsky.social

so @thejefuswrench.bsky.social and i came up with a redic solution to a problem i’m having with monitoring using the interface that might need service to work successfull.
i’m wiring the main outs to a mixer and bypassing my studio monitors to use the headphone output of the mixer 😂
ending the year with a bang(er)
spare parts, loose screws, forgotten moments
a IDM centric lens into the past from old recordings - leaning towards the future
this album is special. i hope you enjoy it ✨🔊
a close up cropped photo of the painting titled “i want to leave before the lights turn on” that will be the album cover for february’s release
my new header image is part of the photo that’s going to be the album cover for the new @synapticmisfire.bsky.social drop in february.
no spoilers but i might make the title track available for preview / preorder this week.
the lyrics and the art are strongly influenced by @amirakiss.bsky.social
2 computer monitors with different abelton views available my notation summit and some of my music desk is also visible
knee deep in a new project
i think this is going to be released as a single with a few remixes. it’s not really something i’ve ever done before, i’m excited to see where it takes me ✨
Album art for my latest EP - Navigation And Mapping Unit V2. The artwork featured my logo in the top left quarter with the title on the bottom. The artwork is a glitched out photo of the infamous ghost car.
The new EP is out!
Navigation And Mapping Unit V2!
Full of hard hitting industrial dance tunes taking inspiration from artists like Front 242, Klack, Art of Noise, and Cobalt 60!
It's Friday - get you some dance tunes for the weekend!

in talks with a local experimental act called fun guys from outer space about a supermoon recording session on saturday night 🛸
i am fairly certain that the only people that say they experience frisson are trying to compensate for the fact that they are boring.
unless they state that they experience it when they listen to @synapticmisfire.bsky.social. then … i should probably give them my number.

THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER
spare parts, loose screws, forgotten moments is now available for preorder ✨
you can preview fwaigct11 today. the full album release will be available to purchase and stream on 12.31.25 🔊
i’ve got the second run of masters on my proton drive server after some assistance from @thejefuswrench.bsky.social 💃
i wasn’t sure i could pull it off, but i think that loose screws 2025 is going to happen! 🎶
A hand outstretched wearing a black and tan sweater. the hand holds a lighter about to be lit, it is immediately in front of a pop filter for a microphone. in the background is a orange glow, some synthesizers, and bags full of cables

Those seem pretty short for you. Is this your radio-friendly, summer anthem album
everyone keeps asking
“when is your radio friendly summer album coming out?”
it’ll be here just in time for the end of 2025 - spare parts, loose screws, forgotten memories
the surface of a black wide studio desk the bottom level is mostly empty, save some cables / plastic shakers / a keyboard / my kind of broken ms20 on the top tier are 2 monitors running abelton in 2 different views and a pair of A7 monitors on either side
having a 2nd monitor in the noise room and giving me a way to see both views in abelton is such an amazing upgrade 🔊
it’s so nice to have the space to do it!
it has gotten me an lot of "followers" (which is a default when you download new music) but i don't really see that doing anything noteworthy for me
OTOH it's only 10 dollars go get 100 more ppl to listen, maybe that IS worth it?
fellow musicians that have paid 10 dollars per promo for get music (after the free introductory period), do you feel like it's a good value? has it ever actively gotten ppl into your music instead of just adding one thing to their library they never think about again?
I might not have caught how overpowering that bitcrusher was. time to move the mix ratio back a step.
I have learned that if you want to think about your song or mix in a different way, exporting and then listening outside of the DAW does something kind of special. not being able to touch make changes, but only listening and thinking gives some really good perspective.
i have a song i’ve been trying to finish for a few months now. there was a spoken word part where i couldn’t figure out what i wanted to convey. i tried a lot of ideas and none of them fit. last night i found a poem in the public domain that is ✨
here is a link to josè santos chocano’s the orchids
what if i made time for spare parts in the next week and a half? i think i have all the things i need to cross the finish line with it.
a corner of my music studio close to the desk. in front of a stand with a few synths stands a boom mic stand. on the mic stand is a pop filter, a se4400 on a shock mount, and a red dlr cable running to my audio interface
let’s talk about flowers 🌺
a screenshot where I got abelton to find 6 things it lost after I pointed it back to it's home

I turned the DB level of my sub down from max to a lot closer to 0 db and I'm wondering if that might end up making my mixes sound less shitty on my HomePod 2
a screenshot of my WHOLE DANG DESKTOP while running live 12 in not quite fullscreen mode. a pink and purple color scheme shows one of the 2 views in abelton, the one that isn't' session vie, a song in progress is visible with sidebars on either side
the new features in live 12 and the new template that I decided to install looks and feels exciting ✨
almost no one who streams my music on bandcamp listens to an entire song. it happened 3x in the last 2 months for me.
i think the residents were really onto something when they released the commercial album. most people don’t want to consume more than 90 seconds of music at a time.
