I came across Jane Yolen's handy 4 #writing rules:
1. Eschew the ! (as in, avoid screamers) 😱
2. Go easy on adverbs (easily?) 🤔
3. Don't let characters float on the page- unless they're fairies or birds 🐦 🧚
4. Have fun writing 😀🖊️

I'm guessing it's a scam, too. I've been seeing a lot of posts here on Bluesky about weird scammers. No harm in following up directly with the agency, though.
Hi Marie! I find that there are always differences among Beta readers... some will love characters or aspects of the book, others will demand that the very same things need to be taken out! I guess the best thing to do is look for patterns, and follow your heart.
