Work will finally start in early May on reclaiming Witney High Street from cars. The £4.4m scheme will reallocate more of the street, which is 11m wide in places, to pedestrians. Through access will be retained for buses, taxis and blue badge holders. Construction will continue until November.

Also booooo to the fact that there are oil and petrol emojis but no wind turbine or solar panel ones!!

Oxford Green Party is pretty special!

I’m particularly unconvinced by the argument that companies we don’t like shouldn’t be allowed to invest in things we do like.

Unless that is applied across the economy, which it isn’t, it just creates an additional hurdle for green projects to get past.
