I was afraid the answer was going to be "working for DOGE"

"When enforcement is politicized, agencies stop serving the people and start serving whoever holds power. A government that ignores the law becomes a danger to democracy and the people it's supposed to serve." 💯
TSA manually checking IDs at the gate now, despite scanning IDs and taking photos at the checkpoint. Duplicate effort for no benefit
Criminal misuse of an already overtaxed, barely funded, federal workforce
Markwayne is no better than Noem. This whole incompetent administration needs to go
"Independent contractors" will also have a significantly harder time proving that they work, to pass the new Trump work requirements for medicaid and snap. There are state and federal reporting systems for w2 workers that would make that automatic, but those systems don't include 1099 workers
Incurious. It sounds like such a tame thing to say, but it is to me one of the most damning insults a person could deserve
At this point: whatever bridge gets them there, we're all on the other side waiting for them
Nearly half of Arizona’s SNAP participants have lost benefits since the state implemented new Trump legislation.
“Arizona is just the alarm bell,” one expert said. “This is likely going to happen in every state.”
trans rights are human rights
25th amendment. Impeachment. I will support any avenue to remove Donald Trump from office. We cannot leave this man in charge of America’s nuclear weapons as he threatens to end an entire civilization. And Congress must not fund this reckless administration.
"We will take down your video of a protest if there's a whisper of music in the background to protect the rights of glorious big business partners, but I don't see how you could possibly expect us to know or care if our chatbot is trampling the rights of some filthy individual"
They do not increase employment
Social safety nets help people focus on the things that will get them out of poverty
Losing assistance leads to loss of employment, deepening poverty, worsening health outcomes, increased reliance on emergency services, and ultimately: increased mortality
They don't reduce abuse:
They block access to benefits by creating mountains of bureaucratic red tape
Your uber driver and grubhub deliverer aren't employees, they are contractors who have to track all thier own data
People work, and work hard, but proving to the bureaucracy that they do: ❌
They don't save money:
additional administrative costs overwhelm program savings
Money not spent on food or healthcare goes instead to contractors building and maintaining a massive web of red tape to track work hours that sits on top of an existing (inefficient) bureaucracy for tracking income
We have recent, real world examples of work requirements failing.
What does failure look like?
- They don't save money
- They don't reduce fraud, waste, or abuse
-They don't increase employment

The last two were great: I always enjoy hearing @warren.senate.gov and I was proud @edmarkey.bsky.social mounted the stage wrapped in a 🏳️⚧️ flag.
The real joy was walking among you: the hope, the party atmosphere
Go soak in that if you can

The feds I got to know believe that the mission of government is to serve people, and ensure their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
This admin uses government as a tool for abuse and oppression, and to extract money from America to enrich themselves
The feds are the government
I don't think it's hard to explain:
www.ptsd.va.gov/professional... : A moral injury can occur in response to acting or witnessing behaviors that go against an individual's values and moral beliefs.
The SAVE Act isn't about securing elections or stopping fraud.
Trump has made it clear he wants it passed to protect Republican majorities in Congress in 2026 and beyond — making it harder for Americans to vote.
That's not how things are supposed to work in America.
The 2025 government-wide Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Index Score is only 32.0 out of 100, with 36.5% of the federal workforce sharing that their work unit provides worse quality services compared to the year prior.

My office officially launched a new portal with Governor Healey to report violence and unlawful ICE activity here in MA.
This will help us keep track of incidents for potential legal action, help us gather data, and connect victims with resources and support.
Debris-strewn Michigan after a tornado; headline notes four dead, 20+ injured and blames presidential funding cuts.
Debris-filled storm; caption says funding cuts left about a quarter of National Weather Service positions are vacant in Michigan.
Last week, a tornado hit Michigan with no warning, killing four people and injuring more than twenty. With Trump's funding cuts to NOAA and NWS, we can't predict tornadoes effectively and people die.
In the 90s I was had the honor of being a member of the Things vs Stuff delegation to the Ig Noble award ceremony. I understand the move, but make no mistake, this is an incalculable blow to science in the US
Alliance for Retired Americans issues statement on alleged Social Security data breach involving a thumb drive.
🚨 A former DOGE employee may have transferred Americans' private Social Security data to a thumb drive. Congress and the SSA IG must get all the facts and ensure that all involved in this reported data breach are punished to the full extent of the law. Read our full statement:

This isn't drivers licenses, but it's a big step forward, and proof that you can make these changes when governments are willing to listen to research about how to best serve their citizens: www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...
If you listen, he enunciates the phrase "no imminent threat" carefully. That was no accident. This senator, after hearing the DoD briefing, is telling you this is an illegal war
Will GOP representatives stand up for you, and vote to impeach? Will GOP senators vote to convict?
Where is congress?

Ok NIMBYs, get out there and use your powers for good. If you thought a three-story multiuse was going to destroy your town, I'm sure you can get motivated to stop one of these
