Echoes Of Imbalance alpha-0 Hi! I am a solo hobby game dev from Europe.

I uploaded the prototype testing song I made to SoundCloud.

In other news: after a two-month break I pivoted from polish to content again and enjoy it so far. Maybe I’ll get a demo done this year? 😱

Alpha 21: Controller Support 🎮 Controller Support As everything in game dev, adding controller support took much more effort than I anticipated. While it was easy to add basic controller support thanks to Godot, I had to fine-...

Echoes of Imbalance Alpha 21 comes with controller support 🎮

It comes with a devlog that’s a little more detailed than usual:

Thank you! I already change the behavior when the player gets close and could show/hide the indicator. I’m just afraid the user won’t know they can interact beforehand if there’s nothing. I got some ideas by now, though, like colors and arrows.

Thanks! I will give it a try!

Thank you so much! I’ll try that and also another idea your input gave me. :)

Thank you for your input! 🙏🏻
I am afraid that the user won’t know they can interact with the terminal if I don’t show something already “from far away”. Maybe a light outline helps. 🤔

The terminal is now in Godot. However, nothing happens yet when you press 'E'.

Does anyone have an idea on how to visually improve the indicator that you need to press 'E'?

Screenshot of a concept terminal for the game Echoes of Imbalance. It shows five terminals with differing color palettes. Mainly combinations of brown, green, and blue.

Working on the terminal to buy powerful upgrades. Can't decide on a color palette...

Looks cool, wishlisted. Love the sound effects!

I use the godot engine and I *love* it.

For Echoes of Imbalance, I do the game design, programming, visuals, effects, and music. The sound effects are edited versions of library effects.
