It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for

It is hard to name the kind of grief you feel as you watch the Christian movement that raised you continually justify the most vile things, all for the sake of power, influence, and money.
It’s hard to name the grief of knowing that there is nothing so vile they won’t justify.
In case nobody has told you yet today:
1. You are allowed to rest.
2. Your pain is real.
3. Wombats are the only animals that poop in perfect cubes and they stack them like little brown bricks to mark territory.
4. You are not a burden.
Tell him sleep is for the weak and you need 3 more episodes done
It has always been a treat to see one of your videos for me. It has made me feel better as I have gone through my own bad times to see the guy who was reading me weird stories for a universe I had no clue about when I was first leaving home and going to college. Take what time you nee.
I never had a Twitter account
There are dozens of us
stocked up on more bullets, dried food and Warhammer miniatures. the essentials.
Illustration of Fabius, a sickly balding man wearing power armor that incorporated a baroque life support system with vials of poison and weird elixirs and shit idk how to describe him better also he has a coat made of human skin
just a picture of Paul giamatti

If we don't study history, we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Literally the opposite of what the president said is true. High tariffs CAUSED the Great Depression.
This is embarrassing.
I’m losing my mind on tariffs. We spent 90 years systematically dismantling protectionism (GATT, WTO, NAFTA) and a mad king exercising *extremely* dubious delegated authority just set us back a century by fiat.
I don't understand how so many Christians could stand beside this movement. From the church I attended all of this would be unthinkable.
The pressure on the last group of farmers can feel immense.
Kind of depends on who you speak to some see it the same way you would see a tax return others feel like they wouldn't need it if it wasn't for all the taxes and regulations. still others feel like this land has been in my family for generations and grandpa got this land to work why can't I.
When I lived In Nebraska there was a pretty common thought by a lot of the farmers that we won't need federal government subsidies if we just got rid of all the taxes and regulation.
Coming from Nebraska that is a more common thing to hear than you would think. Almost every farm has or recently had some sort of subsidy.
As someone who is Christian it boggles my mind how many who claim to be ones lack any kind of compassion. It’s like people don’t read the Bible or look into what Jesus actually preached and just believe in these assholes. It’s exhausting.
My newsletter tomorrow is called, “Why Jesus wouldn’t be seen as a “real man” or a “Christian leader” today.”
In it, I reflect on recent events through the lens of Jesus and offer encouragement to remain vigilant to the way of love.

Thought I would share some of the models I have painted. I am still pretty new at this but am really proud of what I have done.
I have friends and family around my age who knew nothing about the meme until I would say something about it.
Weak men cannot compromise. Weak men cannot build consensus. Weak men think that leadership means force. Weak men build nothing that lasts.
D&D players/DMs on Reddit are complaining about the numerous janky compromises in the newest Monster Manual, complaining about 5e's "hidden abilities" on monsters with spellcasting abilities, and independently re-inventing 4e with suggestions like "just write out the important spells as abilities".
I can't even describe the amount of distress I'm feeling about the state of our country and even the world. I feel absolutely powerless to do anything about it because I am.
I have as much political sway as a Democrat US Senator, which amounts to:
"Somebody should do something! [send tweet]"
If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.
So... what do you all think about homeschool? 😅
From my own experience I feel like it is extremely isolating for the kids. My relatives started homeschooling their kids when they were entering their teens and the kids seem so much more lonely and jump at every chance to get out of the house.
The problem with having adult-money is I can afford the silliest of things
Thing about Jimmy Carter that really shines through in his writing etc is how devoutly committed he was to a morally coherent version of evangelical Christianity that literally no longer exists.
The transcript of this really is wild: (For context: lan Brown is Performance Engineering Manager at Netflix and was a Senior Engineering Manager at Twitter for nearly 9 years) Elon Musk: I mean, I think frankly, if you want to have a really high velocity of features, I think we'll just need to doa, a total rewrite of the whole thing. Um, you know? lan Brown: Um, wait, seriously: a total rewrite? That's your prediction for [improving Twitter's] velocity? Elon: Yeah. George Hotz: Well, when you say a "total rewrite," do you mean starting with the skeleton? Or a bunch of engineers sit down with a whiteboard and say, "what is Twitter?" Elon: Um.... George: Revolution or reform? Elon: 1, I mean, I just mean like lit, literally. Like there's, there's the, like you could either try to, uh, amend the, the, the crazy stack that exists or, um, rewrite it. lan: When you say "crazy stack," what do you mean? Like, break it down.
Elon: Have you seen George's diagram? lan: No, no, no. I mean, like, what do you mean by "crazy stack?" Seriously. Come on buddy. Come on. Elon: Who, who are you? lan: What do you mean? Who am I?? I don't know. You gave me the fucking mic. Elon: I didn't give you the mic. George: Whoa, whoa. I, I, I'm, I'm doing the mic. And let's, let's keep it, let's keep it civil in my space. Elon: I mean, I mean... yeah. lan: Like what? OK man, you're in charge of the servers and the programming, whatever: what is the stack? George: Keep things civil in my space, please lan: Take me from top to bottom. What does the stack look like right now? What's so crazy about it? What's so abnormal about this stack versus every other large-scale system on the planet, buddy? Come on, give it to me. George: All right, so first off... Elon: Amazing. Wow, you're a jackass. George: okay. Okay. Okay. All right.
Musk and Trump both have such bullshitter energy, but while Trump has the cadence of a rambling doofus, a cornered Musk immediately becomes the wannabe hero of a space opera. “We’re under attack. Diverting energy to forward shield,” etc.
Two years ago a Twitter engineer called him out in a Space:
