Working on elevators this week and some camera stuff. There is a day/night cycle which will play a part in the game. Also most buildings have accessible rooftops - you never know who you might find up there. #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #indiedev #madewithunity #NOIR

Added some UI for telephone calls - now you can see who answers the phone. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #NOIR
I love Alfred Hitchcock but even he can't convince me this guy is an (English?) chicken farmer/murderer!
Nick can save some shoe leather by making phone calls to many location in the city. It's also useful for checking in with his secretary to see if there have been any new developments. #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #NOIR #detective #gamedev
I took a showgirl for my wife...
What?!
Watching old Twilight Zones. Still great! Episode Judgement night is kinda harrowing in places but Glasgow gets a mention.
Looks awesome!
I like learning. I don't like being taught!
I know very little about #roblox other than my son is a huge fan. But I'm curious if it's a viable platform for an #indiedev? The games I've seen seem a bit rough round the edges, but according to my boy they are super popular.
Last few weeks I've been trying to improve the character animations - something I've been putting off due to how much work is required and not knowing how to do it. But now I'm using Spine (great tool!) things seem a bit less daunting. #screenshotsaturday #rpg #indiegame #gamedev #noir #detective
Never watched John Wick but this looks very cool!
Love how this looks like an old-school sprite based arcade beat 'em up - but then they ragdoll!
It's important for Nick to keep abreast of events in the city so getting the daily newspaper, The Rockville Tribune, is essential. #screenshotsaturday #rpg #indiedev #indiegame #detective #noir #gamedev #noir
High Perception will allow Nick to scrutinize people and spot any signs they may not be telling the truth. #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #gamedev #indiegame #rpg #noir #detective
Comment after comment about how the game is going bomb. Just makes me despair at what this industry has become. I remember when games press supported new games, looked forward to new titles and at least gave them fair try before criticising.
You work for years building game, putting your heart and soul into it. Then just as you near release you get people who've never played it calling it soulless, an asset flip, a disaster. Masked Youtubers gleefully picking apart preview material. Other Youtubers reacting to those videos...
This looks fantastic! Great job!
Black and white image of a1950's style American diner on a main street with two characters talking and a bus driving by.
Making slow and steady progress. Added some new locations and overhauled the dialogue and narrative systems. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev
I'd watch the hell out of that!
Big shout out to all the Tech Designers! Those folks that weave code, art and audio into gameplay gold - Jacks of all trades and masters of many - the first responders when something goes wrong - the often overlooked but vital #gamedev discipline.
Does Blue Prince = blueprints?
Think I've settled on the name Rockville for the city. Rockville has a day/night cycle and I'm trying to keep a good contrast between indoor and outdoor scenes while still making them feel connected. #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #noir
This week I've been working on prohibited areas. Often, Nick will have to go places he's not wanted - how he gets there is up to the player. #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #gamedev
Atomfall looks amazing - can't wait to play it!
Working on Night and the City, a noir RPG.
Short video update for #screenshotsaturday. Working on UI and conversation system lately. I want conversations to be short and snappy back and forths, sentences rather than screeds of text. People are busy and and if you try their patience they'll likely just walk away! #indiegame #gamedev #noir
Working on dialogue system this week so not much new to show for #screenshotsaturday but here's a few recent screens.
Work continues on filling out the city's many locations. This week it's been City Hall - home to the Mayor, his staff and various public records which may come in useful during investigations.
And sometimes you might just need to go down there and rattle a few cages!

Watching the brilliant Conclave #movie.
Trying so hard not to imagine Father Ted Crilly in amongst it!
