These observations may tell us whether interstellar objects like ʻOumuamua, Borisov, and 3I/ATLAS are rare—or common?

This may be our best shot at studying an interstellar object before it escapes.

What’s remarkable is the coordination: Rubin, Hubble, and other ground-based observatories are tracking this object as it speeds across the solar system.
