It abolished slavery in DC, freed 3,100 enslaved DC residents, and marked the "first blow against the edifice of slavery."

Nobody does RCV like us. We’ve been doing precinct rep elections at almost every ward-wide meeting with RCV and did the endorsements process with RCV. Getting to endorsement threshold of 2/3 with RCV is craaaaazy but it happened in all but one race (not surprising to me).
I ran for chair of W1D on the platform of a) have meetings b) determine whether or not we endorse. The body voted to endorse and here are the results. I am extremely proud, and all credit goes to exec comm, precinct reps, and vols for it happening.

shit been crazy for me and shall not be stopping. my undergrad thesis was on ~*gentrification n displacement in anacostia*~ and i thought i was going for a doctorate based on it. but i hated school and loved working. so now i work. every day i am in awe that what i do can make people’s lives better.
