My favorite character from 1e is now a regular NPC in my 5e games. Leusfrom Ironhand, a grizzled gnome. An 11th lvl illusionist / 7th lvl cleric turned friendly proprietor of The Stumble Inn, a quiet place that somehow is always found near the same familiar corner but in different towns.
