Not even sure it’s so much a problem of what people asking for being punished.

Anything that is hero shooter adjacent is just disliked these days for how often the concept is spammed. Look at Highguard

Granted, it may not help that Imagine Dragons has any attachment to the project reputation-wise.

And I’m aware trailers definitely can give the wrong impression, but with how much of the way the characters are being used, this just feels like “brand recognition money farming” than trying to be an honest adaptation.

The Street Fighter movie trailer isn’t giving more than a generic set of tropes masquerading as a video game adaptation. It feels like they think if they throw enough visual references people will point and clap. It could be fine, but it isn’t giving good impressions.

I just want a new TM, dammit

I’m more annoyed that they listed Twisted Metal, but the last TM game was on the PS3…

A portrait of both a T-Virus infected zombie and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil (1996). The zombie is rotting, slacked jaw showing his jagged teeth stained in red.
Jill meantime is seen looking over her back, look of worry as she has her handgun at the ready.
This piece is a love letter to the original Resident Evil game. I was too young to play it but I remember watching my brother and cousin play it, walking right in when the dog breaks through the window. You know the scene.

Hate seeing it too because Rising Thunder got screw over for what ultimately seems like their time and money wasted.

I also think it is a great way to contextualize much of Lovecraft’s work for a (then) modern understanding and (much like the TTRPG), scrubbing away the parts of Lovecraft we leave behind.

I think Emil Pagliarulo did more to kill modern Fallout than cryopods, but I at least get where you’re coming from.

Certainly doesn’t help when they seem more comfortable in rehashing things or doing the bare minimum of anything.

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of T. K. Carter, beloved by genre fans for his role as Nauls in John Carpenter’s 1982 classic THE THING.
