Microsoft Says You’re Not Supposed to Take Copilot’s Advice Seriously This may be changing soon, but for now, Microsoft's Terms of Use document doesn't sound confident about the company's AI assistant.

“Copilot is for entertainment purposes only. It can make mistakes, and it may not work as intended. Don’t rely on Copilot for important advice. Use Copilot at your own risk.”

Wildlife Conservation Police Are Searching Thousands of Flock Cameras for ICE Ron DeSantis has empowered hundreds of Florida conservation police to work directly with ICE.

NEW: Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission police—yes, the agency responsible for wildlife conservation and endangered species—are performing dozens of license plate lookups on Flock cameras for ICE, according to public records that show details of the searches.

This highlights how ICE, which does not have a contract with Flock, continues to get access to Flock’s AI-powered license plate scanning cameras through local and state police. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

Facing a hotter climate and drying Great Salt Lake, some families plan to leave Utah A recent Saturday in Orem was sunny and warmer than usual, but the Cardon family was inside, surrounded by cardboard boxes and bubble wrap. As they cleared off shelves and packed away family photos,…

Adrienne and Jared Cardon never wanted to move their family, but three of their four children have severe asthma. Dust from the drying Great Salt Lake — containing heavy metals including arsenic, lead and lithium — is at the forefront of their decision. They're not alone.

MATTIE: It's really too bad I have this observation that I can't articulate great yet. But I can't stop thinking about it.
MASK: HAVE YOU POSTED IT YET? EHEHEHEHE!

PANEL 2: A dutch angle shot of the mask.
MATTIE (VO): No…there's no way to say it without everyone yelling at me!
MASK: POST IT! YOU'RE A GENIUS!

PANEL 3: MATTIE, on her knees in front of the mask, crying.
MATTIE: No! Never!
MASK: POST IT! YOU'VE NEVER BEEN WRONG!

PANEL 4: MATTIE, typing on thephone.

MATTIE: Oh yeah. Everyone is mad at me. Bigtime.

IMO its not a lack of hobbies thats the problem, its that every hobby is now a GIG. That thing you do for fun? Well monetize it, run a tiktok, take commissions, get that 2nd or 3rd source of income going on top of your 9-5. The things that we once did for joy are now part of our survival

Dumpster song 2 million. We recorded this song remotely over GarageBand during the pandemic. I stopped singing in the middle of several takes because I kept starting to cry over the futility of creating something during such a dark day. The days stay dark and we stay creating. Thanks for choosing ch

All,

The following instructions pertain to the passing of SB 244 regarding gender reclassifications. I've attached the letter that was sent to the individuals who need to return to our office and have their credential updated with their gender at birth. A flag will show on record indicating SB244 NOTICE for anyone who has been sent a letter. The individuals will be charged as normal for their reissuance.

Should these customers arrive at the office without an appointment you are to make certain to get them processed as soon as possible, getting them in and out of the office.

When issuing these credentials, you MUST reach out to the DL Helpdesk at KDOR_Photostop@ks.gov with the individuals K# and name indicating SB 244 update.

For your ISSUANCE NOTE please include the following information:
"Subject"=REISSUED PER SB 244
"Note"=GENDER CHANGED FROM MALE TO FEMALE (or whatever the situation) - Along with regular credential issuance notes

Little scoop before publishing a full story on the situation later — I've obtained the email sent to all Kansas DMV employees by Kent Selk, Driver Services Manager for the Kansas Department of Revenue on how to handle the compulsory gender marker change for trans people.

What’s one way we can rein in ICE?

We can start by boycotting ICE’s corporate collaborators that are profiting from the agency’s cruelty.

Watch.

Linda Davis, a K-8 teacher in Savannah, Georgia, was killed in a car crash by a man fleeing ICE

Local authorities said they were unaware of any ICE operations in the area. "We have a no chase policy," a county chairman said

Dr. Linda Davis, a teacher in my city, is now dead because ICE began a chase in a school zone in a county with a no-chase policy. Local police were not aware ICE was conducting operations in the area.

Dr. Davis would be alive were it not for the cruelty and stupidity of these agents. Abolish ICE.

There’s a reason privacy advocates are fond of Sen. Ron Wyden, and its not just because he routinely champions legislation aimed at protecting civil liberties. From his perch on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Wyden is uniquely well situated to spot intelligence programs that strain the limits of the law or unduly encroach on Americans’ privacy. And while Wyden takes his obligation not to reveal classified information seriously, he has a history of doing all he can to draw public attention to those potential problem areas. Long before Edward Snowden revealed the NSA’s now-defunct mass database of domestic telephone records, Wyden was sounding the alarm about a secret and radical interpretation of the Patriot Act’s “business records” provision. Most notoriously, at a public hearing in 2013, he pressed then–Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on whether NSA collected any type of data on Americans in bulk—and received the now-infamous answer “not wittingly,” which seriously weakened Clapper’s credibility when it was revealed to be false just a few months later.
