I'll never forget the experience of watching a Gunther match where commentary acted like he pulled off some massively acrobatic feat when he did a dropkick. He's not top 10 in his own company, much less the world (and the wrestling YouTubers I watch act like he's #1 across the board)
I suppose my hottest take (particularly among people who watch WWE) is that Gunther is a mid ass wrestler who simply cannot carry a match. Any good Gunther match is someone working their ass off and him plodding around hitting people in the chest for real.
