A "how to do this better" was what I was expecting. But then to say thread but then not make a thread is always a little abrupt.

Thread... Then, no thread? Oh well.

I mean, I can see the reference to nazism, but I thought this thread would also contain advice on how to do it so it well... Doesn't make that unfortunate reference?

...Creepy dinner parties will ensue.
Hmmm.

(I still can't get over a pasta sauce company named with the slang term for "pregnant", it's hilarious!)

Good on him, she was a remarkable woman. I still argue her memorial should include a land rover. Remembering her practical nature and intelligence would be a far better legacy than her fashion.

My trouble was paying to watch them all, the dvds were rare & not cheap. Or I had to find a way to make a streaming service work in rural Australia, which (trust me) is intended for a more urban internet connection speed. Being able to watch them easily and when I felt like it wasn't an option.

I'd like it better if he didn't feel thd need to warn him off first.

Only in America would no one be surprised there is a mug shot of getting fired. Sodding weird place, the U.S.

Aussie here: it is all true. Don't forget your Vegemite and to bring water. Kangaroo pouches are quite comfy. And the crocs will get you, vegemite or not, so bloody well keep to the path.

Every time it gets shared around, a whole lot of people go "Why didn't I think of that?" heheh.

One of my students was herself and a half dozen siblings with their mother, in a one bedroom granny flat.

She was the lucky one, my mothers school had two thirds of the town burned down in the Black Summer that csme before covid. Most of those students "home" was a tent in a field of ash.

Also, tellingly, only the highest cost commercial travel insurance covered the U.S. even then, one step below "travel there at your own risk, we won't insure you".

Excellent.

It isn't as rich as I thought, honestly.

Visited the U.S. a bit (before covid and their weird criminal president and stuff) and was startled by the beggars, the broken streets and buildings, and the chaos. It was far more like visiting a 3rd world country than say Japan or England, or Europe...

Yeah apparently if they, say, got injured at a carpark or even shot in one of their mass shootings, they can get treated in emergency, THEN charged for the emergency care, medicine and ambulance, etc, and can go bankrupt as a result (yanks please correct me if I am wrong).

There's already a pretty good cthulhu board game, we've played it a few times, NPC Old Ones manifest in the outback, and usually win the game against coastal fringe players easily. We all worked together once and beat them, though.

I can't help but note that being able to have an hour each day to sit and contemplate and read a book while my car charges sounds like good mental health...

Opening presents on Christmas Eve? I'm surprised they aren't waiting for boxing day?

We had a heron. Bloody thing picked every last fish from the pond in an afternoon, pulling them through the wide mesh pond topper.

Two days later the bastard was back. We had not yet restocked. The bloody bird seemed really disappointed that no fish were to be seen. Checked a few times that week.

That would be anyone supporting Israel. Israel intentionally bombs hospitals and schools and intentionally shoots children. So people protesting for Israels lebensraum are indeed protesting in favour of genocide.

Which is a biohazard risk. We do not import meat or livestock to Australia from anywhere without heavy checks and quarantine. They have a lot of livestock diseases we do not need spread here.
