We are ambushed at Quarantine. As we return fire a giant UESC ship unfolds above us and begins to lockdown the area. Lockdowns are lethal without antivirus, so both teams start running for the edge of the zone. Bullets are flying, runners are dropping and burning in the data blockade. So chaotic.
Hey! All of you playing Marathon, share with me one (or more) cool stories that you have experienced while playing the game.
Try to keep them short (one post per story, please) and know that I might end up using them in a blog.
Thanks! (Sharing this post is appreciated!)
If you turn off squadfill you will only face other solos. The ai bots can be quite a challenge at first, but that makes it even more satisfying when you finally start clearing compounds and doing events successfully.
Go in expecting that difficulty and the solo experience is really thrilling.
It’s definitely grabbed my imagination. I want to see what else is in store.
The art and worldbuilding look gorgeous, but reading about Realis' mechanics just blew my mind. Great job, looking forward to the kickstarter.
Definitely a big part of it. Loot is so plentiful and you can carry so little, killing someone to take their stuff won’t net you much. That math does change if you are in a high tier loot area, which I think leads to some very interesting choices.
Hello! New free rig: Hornet, Silksong.
Modelled and textured by Igor Oskolskiy.
I loved the model approach and recreated the intro of the game.

Heard about it through the grapevine as well. Game of telephone said he was shot in the head, but the message i received was 4 people deep at that point so who knows what the guy who was there said.
I'm still working on my YouTube video about a cheap erosion filter, but I've been tinkering with improving it as well. I recently had some nice breakthroughs overcoming various limitations of the original filter by Clay John and Felix Westin, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. #ProcGen

The Queens Thief series by Meghan Whalen Turner. The Thief is a little slower, but The Queen of Attolia is probably my favorite book ever. Greek influenced fantasy where everything comes together in the final chapter.
Just want to say thanks for sharing all these cycles. They are really informative and cool.
