That genuinely sounds like a good idea.

ICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glass—from car windows to store fronts to homes. It’s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: “We’re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.”

And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

If I had a nickel for every time DC brought Virgil Hawkins, Static, back into continuity in a plot involving New Gods Mind Control during a Major Linewide Event…I’d have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice. #staticshock #dccomics #milestonecomics #readcomics

Philip Kennedy Johnson eviscerates Bruce Banner's character in Infernal Hulk 3 for some gag-inducing moralizing. There is no reason Banner is like this. Philip Kennedy Johnson never bothered to explain. He presents it as self-evident without needing any explanation. Despicable.

Do we really need Pa Kent and Uncle Ben to crossover? I’m ready for Gail Simone to give us Punisher & Powergirl, and Greg Rucka to rehash Perry White and J. Jonah Jameson.

The Fallout show feels like if someone played the Fallout games and then said “let’s make a show based on this.”

Which sounds obvious but historically has been rare for video game adaptations.

Also, it might be worth considering vehicles as bastions for really ramping them up.

Crack open Forge of the Artificer. The Airship system is structured very similarly to how the Spelljammer statblocks are and the devs said this was meant to be a final form of the vehicle rules between Avernus and SJ. Now we just need them to release more diverse vehicles to compare.

Couple of attack helicopters with the big perforated cone fronted missile looking small missile carrier things hanging off the side just flew low following broad street heading toward Trenton. Like, 10-15 stories low.

"Death of the Audience" is an incredibly useful concept.

This will absolutely never happen but boy if there was ever a way to unify this country pulling Mark Kelly out of retirement to enact a military tribunal against him would definitely do it.

As I spent more and more of my life under the care of doctors, nurses, and researchers striving to improve the lives of others, I watched as Bobby cut nearly a half billion dollars for research into mRNA vaccines, technology that could be used against certain cancers; slashed billions in funding from the National Institutes of Health, the world's largest sponsor of medical research; and threatened to oust the panel of medical experts charged with recommending preventive cancer screenings. Hundreds of N.I.H. grants and clinical trials were cancelled, affecting thousands of patients. I worried about funding for leukemia and bone-marrow research at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I worried about the trials that were my only shot at remission. Early in my illness, when I

Just an absolutely gutting essay by Tatiana Schlossberg, a writer, mother of two young children, and cousin of RFK Jr who is dying of leukemia.

“So, before I get into this I need to know if you’re familiar with Otherkin,”
“Sadly yes,”
“Okay…are you familiar with the subset known as Otakin,”
“Unfortunately yes, and I’m kind of insulted you had to ask,”

A friend at PAX asked my wife if she wanted anything, she suggested Gundam anything Zechs or Char and had to explain to their friend that they are different guys, and it prompted me to share and old internet story about the Zechs Otakin who believed Char had plagiarized their soul.

If we aren’t in financial ruin by this car repair, I plan to get my wife several of her favorite films in a physical format in one easy to acquire collection. Its just her comfort movie, Jurassic Park, and the sequels.

I look back on the past and am proud I chose the path of least harm during a rough event in my past, but regret not being angrier at the time or standing up/advocating louder for myself during.

Once again on a temporary rail commute. In the face of the likely catastrophic cause, I’m happy to at least be riding a train because that gives me a little dopamine. I like trains, not as much as some people, but conceptually and experientially I appreciate trains and rail travel.

I spoke to a super MAGA person & they're super duper pissed about Trump sending money to foreign countries to build prisons to imprison deportees

Not because it's unjust.

No. Because if they're not going back to their home countries, we could imprison them here & give Americans good pay as guards
