The amount of hard pivots from the rabid segment of the 2nd Amendment enthusiasts just gets more and more surreal. It went from "need my guns to protect me when my family from the government" and open public carrying to "he had it coming, carrying a firearm in public" real fast.

I could do with a little less of that in the future. I don't think we'll get a reprieve any time soon, though

Electricians are working on the Glass Block building where the game store is located. Power is off, and it's super quiet in the building. It's weird.

We will probably be okay? But her job is funded through FEMA. Apparently our president has deemed that all Federal Grant and loan programs are going to be defunded this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. EST. I'm unsure what that means for student loans or federally funded programs....

I love waking up to read that my wife's job and her student aid might be unfunded at 5pm today. No stress.

Yeah, but it's rail access that's expensive, that you have to drive to get to for it to be useful and is slower than most interstates. Most of those 39 million won't touch it. If there was money to be made in passenger service, even the smallest amount, the railroads would be doing it.
