Digital illustration of my OCs Eiko and Hayato, divided into three panels. The first depicts Hayato eating taiyaki, the second and middle one Hayato and Eiko with their backs turned, watching the sunrise (it's meant to be them partaking in the hatsuhinode tradition of watching the first sunrise of the new year) in front of a torii gate, and the third Eiko eating mitarashi dango. A small disclaimer, I couldn't figure out if traditional festival foods like taiyaki and dango are also featured at Shogatsu festivals. I was initially going to draw them eating osechi-ryori instead, but I've been putting off answering this anon for a while now bc I haven't had time to draw and osechi-ryori was scaring me because it looked so detailed to draw. I'm sorry if this isn't exactly accurate to Shogatsu :(
