The Kansas GOP overrode the Governor's veto to enable this. If they can willfully do it to one group, they can do it to ANY group.

Of course isn’t just driving. It’s voting. Working. Travelling. Picking up a package. Applying for credit. Applying for a job. Renting a room. Filling prescriptions. Visiting loved ones in the hospital. Not expired either, but legally invalid.

As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know when you’re living through history, so let me assure you: that’s what’s happening now.

it's 2016: north carolina introduces a bill to ban trans people from using bathrooms safely. there's a national outcry; companies withdraw business up to and including the NCAA cancelling a publicized game. the bill fails.

it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.

I have a blink deck that absolutely loves Circuit Mender! Since it's a leaves trigger, I always get value whether I'm blinking it or someone is removing it or I have to block with it. Outside of that or an artifact deck, I doubt many decks want to spend three mana on this.

I play a couple of reanimation decks and I play Stargaze in my Grixis one that is more about selective pitching creatures into my yard. Since Stargaze also puts cards into your hand, it does double duty and lets me search for reanimation spells and lets me put any creatures I find right into the gy!

Breakthrough is really great in a dedicated discard deck. It's won me a couple of games with my Captain Howler, Sea Scourge deck! The ability to dump your hand but keep any important pieces is huge. Outside of dedicated discard decks, I don't think this is necessarily better/great.

Bumping this again. Starting to feel a bit better. Not 100% but who the hell feels 100% these days.
