As a teenager, when I discovered these absurdly proportioned cars existed, thanks also to Rallysport Challenge in Xbox, I was obsessed with them, believing they were peak car design.

I recently discoveres that Usborne has the books available also in their web usborne.com/us/books/com...
I did not know that! Although I am returning to this mostly from the nostlagia/retro perspective, I will try to see if I can recover any of the old games we did with my friends and surprise them with an online version :D
I have been recently fiddling again with Klik'n'Play, The Games Factory, DIV Games Studio or even DarkBASIC in a Pentium III build, alongisde old tools like MilkShape 3D or Poser 4.
picoCAD2 is going to be an awesome addition to the tools for creating assets!
I normally use Iryo and in general trips take around 30 minutes more than before, reflected in their time tables. My experience based in the last three weeks is that schedule is in general stable (only once half an hour delay Atocha-Sants).
You asked and you shall receive! Now you better watch it cause it took me two days to make this! (unless you're really enjoying Windows 11)

Found a 1999 file in my old backups called POKEMON.RAR with 154 pokemon in ICO format. 🤷♂️

The Digital Antiquarian put out an article on the development & failings of the infamous Ultima IX: www.filfre.net/2026/02/ulti...
While it's a mess, I'd still recommend it as a historical curiosity - to see how a 3D open-world Action-RPG played before EverQuest, GTA 3, Morrowind, Gothic, etc...
Even with its small map, it invited to explore and had an amazing atmosphere imho. That being said, comparing to other 3D games of that year, like Outcast, they sadly failed miserably on how to transition to the 3D, worse by trying to keep the simulation level compared to the older 2D games.
I consider myself lucky for discovering Ultima through Ultima IX, as allows me to be more gentle with it. It is broken, but for it was still amazing how much it tried to simulate and how it tried a diegetic UI for many actions in 3D. And made me feel adventurous as later did Morrowind or Gothic.

The screen saver helps understand when was this computer last used... #retrocomputing

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.
Anne Barela's mini-IBM PC which emulated up to a PC with an 80386 microcontroller. Attention to detail is apparent. Shown with vintage look Vortex mini keyboard.
Folks, my mini-IBM PC is finally complete and fully documented!

Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.
For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
MTV is officially ending all of its music channels.
In honor of that, what's your favorite music video?
Album art for FTL - Lost Ship EP - featuring a spaceship, and crew members working at a control panel. The art is made to look like weathered, as though it was lost vinyl album discovered in a vintage store.
Surprise! I just released FTL - Lost Ship EP, a small collection of never before published FTL music, including live tracks, music that was cut from the game, and an expanded piece I made in 2025 based on one of the originals.

Full-color image of the Cathedral of Barcelona, composed on a typewriter by Montserrat Alberich Escardívol. Image from WikiMedia.
Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.
Just bought DEEP SPACE EXPLOITATION by @juhrjuhr.itch.io and really enjoying it! I am a sucker for physics based gameplay, and this mix between Asteroids, Red Faction and a grim context of future exploitation, is amazing.
Go support indie buying it at itch.io : juhrjuhr.itch.io/deep-space-e...
