It's a great standalone novel, but it also has a quality of a perfect TV show pilot. Whether you are looking to scratch a Buffy itch or a Twilight itch, you gotta give Thrall a shot.

Representation worth highlighting: queer, plus-sized main character in a majority girl cast.

The cast is chalk full of girls who are messy and flawed, but are trying their best. It's fast-paced, with great set-ups and payoffs. In even a short amount of time, it paints a diversity of vampiric experiences that makes me want to revisit this world and these characters.
